16- 2003 Taurus (family car)
17- 1996 Mustang GT (Auto, split cost with parents).
I'm 21 now, unsure if that qualifies as young/spoiled to have a Z. I paid for my 04.5 touring 100% myself (plus insurance, gas, parking, etc.) I saved my money because I always loved 350s.
I agree with others on this thread that nobody in high school should be simply given an expensive car (although an older Z can be purchased for a moderate cost). I'd be curious to see the rate of totaled Zs (or other sports cars) among high school males.

second... there's no way you can afford a car with that magnitude of a payment workin minimum wage.
third... only a SUCKER would pay that kind of money for a used car regardless of the mod's being a 350z... would have been smarter buying somethin of more value. Congrats to the guy who sold his whip for more then it was worth.
and lastly, stage 5 twin turbo? neon kit? rear wing? $3500 body kit? $5000 rims.... does any of this s*** have a name other then greddy true dual exhaust? the exhaust is like $1500 and non of your "mods" have a name or brand attached to them, bunch of crap if you ask me... i think you should just......

First off, there is no way in heck I would buy/give any teenager a Z or any other kind of a sports car! Knowing what I know now at 38 Yr's old if I would have had a fast car when I was a teen I would not be here today I'm sure. I thought of this the first day I drove my Z home. I am lucky to be here anyhow, cause my 82 & 89 4 cylinder S-10's I had in highschool didn't know they weren't sports cars LOL!
82 - S-10
89 - S-10
94 - Ford Escort Gt
93 - Dodge Dakota Sport
02 - Dodge Dakota Quad Cab SLT 4 Wheel Drive
06 - 350z Base

Is it wrong if I'm 20 and spending way too much money on car/track things?
The only thing that makes me feel better about it is that I'm going to be graduating college without debt which I think is an accomplishment, hahaha.

We all have hobbies we spend too much on. Set aside money for retirement and a small amount for emergencies. Other than that, there's no reason to have tens of thousands of dollars in your checking account. Enjoy yourself.
