When did this become the "List Your Previous Cars" thread?

When I was 17, I was what every 17 year old here claims to b: honor roll student, mature beyond my years, more responsible than my parents, etc. I would have given my lefty to have a Z. Instead, my parents had some sense and bought me a sporty, yet painfully slow car- a 1996 Toyota Celica ST, auto. 115 hp at the crank. That thing was so slow that it literally was not worth speeding. Would have taken me 12 seconds to get to 60 at WOT, so there was no point in trying to impress anybody. I learned that you don't have to go fast to look good.

I truly don't understand why the young guys on this forum all try so hard to impress the older members. Yes, you might make good grades. You might be responsible. So was I, but that doesn't mean that a 350Z won't get out of control very easily. This constant effort to prove whatever they can over the Internet makes me wonder how much harder they would try in person...

19 - 350z
got a job when i was 17 (almost 18) and worked for over a year to buy my z as my first car, had the z sitting in my garage for a month before i could drive it( which really really sucked!) bc i had to pay for dmv fees. So i got my license and insurance a little after 19. So obviously my parents didnt buy me it but i look rather young for a 19 year old so i feel like when ppl see me with it they think my parents bought it for me, and i dont drive it like an ******* bc i earned it myself and w/e i do with it is on me. so for all you young z haters they're not all the same!

This is a little ridiculous there's no reason to bash on anyone for owning a car. I payed for mine on my own I have been a Z fan since i was a little kid and I achieved my dream of owning a 350Z. Why does it matter the age? If you care so much maybe you're all just jealous you couldn't grow up with a sick car.

You're "claiming" the exact same thing.

You've just single-handedly discovered the viciously horrific secret of this entire forum population!

Went to pick up my sister from her highschool & saw a 16 year old kid with his 'new' 350z...needless to say, my Z was nicer, but he was doing a sort of dumbass move at the light next to me...& I am more than sure he stalled the car because when the light turned green...he was stuck there...

Starting at 16:
97 Honda civic ( Great car)
Still 16:
Got a '04 350z ( Yes , I pay for it)

Not all 16,17, 18 etc. year olds shouldn't be able to have a nice car . As log as they can maintain it & be reasonably smart behind the wheel. Just my 2 cents

dude for the many amounts of "good drivers" at 16, there are 30 more who wouldnt know how to handle a civic si. When I was 16 I had a truck and still had that truck till I bought my z last month. you need to learn to drive before buying a sports car because most 16 year olds think they can do maneuvers they see in fast and furious and they kill themselves.

Example of 16 year olds not knowing how to drive.
