From this time to when I was 14 I made a good chunk of change...combine that with severla Certificates of Deposit, and some investing in the stock market I did through my parents, and it was even more.
When I was 14 (legal age for work in NJ) I started caddying at the local gold course in the spring, summer, and fall. At $40 a bag plus tips and usuallly carrying 2 bags, as well as caddying 2 rounds a day I sometimes made over $200 a day.
In the winters and Even until now I worked at a local print shop for consistent hourly wages.
I put every piece of money I got in a bank, and set up my Cds so they would be mature about a month ago.
With all this I was able to buy my 350z last week (completely in cash..no finaceing). I also pay for all of the insurance, gas, and maintainance on it. And the best part...I still have over $10,000 in the bank
I agree every bit with the fact that parents should not buy their children nice cars, but I think I have earned it.

hey sorry if that bores you but i dreamed about getting a Z ever since i saw one, worked every summer doing masonry kicking my *** saving up that much and i think being able to put over $23,000 down on a my dream car by age 19/20 was a very respectable goal to achieve, and yes i pay for gas and insurance and repairs, and yes i am lucky enough to have a very well paying job but i work my *** off. And not being one of these shmucks who buys a car mods them and then gets them repoed or sells them cause they cant afford the payments or has mommy and daddy pay for it , which happens oh so often with guys my age deserves some respect. and to the 17 year old who worked his *** off, i tip my hat and i wish more kids worked and saved and had as much respect and worked for a goal like many of us, and to those who dont think its a big deal, go to hell cause you obviously dont deserve any respect back.

thanks guys, sad that some guys are just *** holes on this forum and cant respect hard working kids, i know if i have kids ill make them work just as hard as alot of us have, you really learn alot about the world and you really learn the value of a dollar when you come home hot, tired and dirty but you know you earned your money and you enjoy that ride home home all the more when you know its your sweat and energy that got you your dream.

I'm isured under my parents coverage, so I get a discount. Also I have strait As so I get even more of a discount. I pay my parents every month for the insurance. The deal is if I miss a payment, I'm off the insurance and on my own, so I make sure I always get it in
