Age means jack if the head on your shoulders isnt on straight.

Lol I could care less if you think I am able to handle the car, I do it just fine, and have fun doing it, cheer up buttercup, and put some vaseline on that behind since your so butthurt

do you pay your dads insurance cost or your own? I know I pay 150 on my parents, full coverage $500 deductable, cuz I was paying 300+ a month, basic coverage $1500 deductable, and then they dropped me cuz I'm 20 and haven't had insurance long enough to insure a 350z and i'm not 21 yet.

(03)02 Toyots Corolla LE - hit by somone who went through a stop sign
(04)03 Acura RSX Base - Fun till I hydroplaned into the woods on the other side of the highway
(05)04 Acura RSX-S - Great car... but not as good as a z
(07)03 Nissan 350z Track - drove 2 1/2 hours just to get her

I'll be 21 this weekend and still remain on my parents insurance. It would be stupid not to. I have a perfectly clean record *knock on wood*, but w/o my parents discount I would be paying $250-300 /mo for a $500 deductable vs. $150 /mo for the same thing. Savings ftmfw.

Kinda funny, I drove about 2 hours to pick mine up too.

There shouldn't even be a debate on this issue. If they have the resources
---which, BTW, includes parents!---,then let them have their Zs! Circumtances vary from individual to individual, & we all have rights & benefits, as well as obligations & responsibilities. Some guys get all the breaks, some don't.
That's the breaks!

I don't see what hte problem is if the person buys it with their own money. Work hard, and it'll get to you.

However, if it was handed, then thats different.

Everyones family is different.

Amen to that. I knew a kid who saved all his money since middleschool and by senior year of hs he had 25k and the parents gave him the rest for an sti... that's what I call somone who deserves a car like that at 17.

Why should we be happy?

They make our insurance go up, put neons or other cheap, tacky mods on their Z's, and fill the forum with crap.

FIRST POST, ive been here since april but been a watcher, not a poster

1991 Chevy 1500 W/T, the absolute lowest base model of this truck, looked like this, except it was a black front bumper, needed 4 tires, and was torn to hell:

Worked hard at harris teeter and target to save and get it to this, converted the entire front end, new bumpers, lift, tires, wheels, etc:

Then sold that (ended up making money on it selling it with all the work), the best vehicle ive owned, and got a 1998 honda prelude, 100% stock.
got it to this:

selling it now, going to get a Z
I am only 19, and as my sig says, i am not apart of my mom and dad's foundation. i pay ALL of my own insurnace and repair costs, gas, the cars themselves, etc etc.
I had the ingenuity to start my own business when i was 18 that has been highly successful, and am selling it at the end of the month, and that is how i am buying my Z.
I cant stand when people say about my prelude, 'nice car did your parents but it for you?' but its all made worth-while when i pull out a business card, hand it to them, and say 'no, my customers bought it for me.'

Don't you find it funny how most of these 16-17 year olds chiming in on this thread only have 1-5 posts? It's like they just lurk here waiting to pounce on a chance to brag about themselves.
