Your just mad cus your *** is old. you guys are hatin cus I'm 19 and drive the same car as all of you grandpas. Now I have respect for my elders, but the younger Z drivers are being blasted for no reason. Maybe you older guys should consider buying a more suitable vehicle for your age group.
This forum was great when it first started, no one your age could afford a Z then. Now all you kids are buying used/salvage '03 Z's and think you're hot $hit!

Question... to you 16-19 year olds... how can you pay for insurance without your parents helping? Last time I checked, the price to insure a 350Z for a 16-19 year old is out of reach, especially for someone working at Petsmart...
Here, try this. Transfer the car to under your name completely and see how long it takes to get repo'd.
Trust me, I know how it is.

peope keep saying 350z are now affordable? 350z in the states have always been affordable. u can pick one up for 35 brand new fully loaded? with a base price of like 28,500? can remember exactly. you dont see many teens driving 350z in canada, where the price starts at 48,000.

I've realized by myself from my own experience that buying a Z and trying to afford it was a big mistake. Never missed a payment, but I can't afford anything else. What fun is life if I can't even go out for lunch, etc? Was going to sell it to get into something more reasonable, but since I'm going into the AF, I imagine it will be more affordable.
Know-it-all teenagers should take note; this experience ^^ is taken straight from the school of hard knocks. Spot-on!
I agree with several of the prior posts, so let's put it all together for a quiz to flush out the BS:
Did you buy your own car 100% yourself; if paid with cash did you earn all the money the old-fashion way; if you financed did you do in your own name with no co-signer; is it registered in only your own name; is the insurance in your own name and not under someone else's policy; do you make 100% of all monthly car payments; do you pay 100% of all insurance premium payments; do you pay for all your repairs/maintenance; do you pay for all your own gas; do you pay 100% of your own rent/mortgage; do you fully support yourself and pay all your own bills; do you have any money left over each month; do you actually have a savings account with more than $100 of your own money in it?
If you cannot answer yes to all - think about it....

Here is my car history, I moved here from East Asia so some cars might be unheard of here
1996 - Suzuki Zen (parents' second car that I used to borrow when i needed it)
1998 - Suzuki WagonR (Brother's car that I used while he was posted out of town)
Moved here in 2000 for my education.
2004 - Bought my first car - Infiniti G20 (used).
2008 - Paid off my student loans and saved enough for a new 350z finally.
btw I'm 29 so I probably fall under the "old people" category...
