This funny to read all of this....the site really has changed a lot. I too remember when all of the new stuff kept coming out and places like Performance couldn't keep stock of anything....met some really cool people here and received a lot of great advice.

My Z now sits in my garage awaiting a rebuild and it's funny to read about new members impressions of mods that we were all discovering. It's like they're re-inventing the wheel all over again with so many things.....fun to get a good laugh out of!

My Z also sits in the garage since I was physically unable since Aug this year. I had got some FI and now I haven't driven it and was even in shape to do my Annual Carmel Valley/Pebble Run. That was a bummer as last year there were 100+ cars and this year I canceled it after growing every year. Now I want to drive it, but weather wise "rain everyday" almost and I just drive the SUV. But boy was it busy back a few years ago, with Treasure Island, my run, car shows, gatherings, etc. Still have "ZONC" though, thank goodness, events almost all year. And got Rob and his garage, yeah. And thinking of some of the companies that supplied different parts always being out of stock or back logged, and now not hearing much anymore about them. So many of the originals are gone elsewhere, it just seems like what a change. It's like you said, so many of the cool people have gone.

I'm still here but mostly over at www.vqfrenzy.com I would have been Charter Member number 2 or 3 but Jay (Jmanz, the original owner of the site) opened up the bidding at midnight PST (3 AM here in EST) and I didn't get to sign up until 6 AM my time, thus the #19.

Still have my original preorder Brickyard 350Z (47K miles) and just had the engine built and went TT (Forged Performance in ATL). I'm at 528 RWHP now.

Those days back in 2002 are ones I will never forget. The anticipation of the car being built, the waiting on delivery, the speculation of what exactly the car would be like.....

Good times....

Zaino was pretty big back then. That was one of the first things I purchased for my Z.

I remember the first time I put Zaino on, I used Dr. Bonz guide and it took me a good 5 hours. My back was sore but it was worth it!
