Don't pee on the Z



A Jericho father and son were arrested for assault late Thursday after they beat a Hicksville man with an aluminum baseball bat because they believed the man had urinated on their car, police said.

Around 11 p.m., Joseph Cammareri, 45, and his son Anthony Cammareri, 17, approached a group of men standing in front of their apartment complex after they noticed one of the men urinating on the son's 2003 Nissan 350Z, police said. After a verbal exchange, the elder Cammareri took a baseball bat and went after the young men, police said. He began hitting Baljinder Singh, 19, with the bat, striking him in the head and body, said Third Squad Sgt. John May. Cammareri's son also attacked Singh, punching and kicking him, May said.

Singh suffered a fractured skull and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, May said. Singh is conscious and talking to detectives, he said. His family could not be reached for comment.

Police, who said they do not believe Singh is the person who urinated on the car, arrested the Cammareris. They were each charged with second-degree assault and were arraigned yesterday in First District Court in Hempstead before Judge Steven Jaeger. The father was being held on $2,000 bond or $1,000 cash and the son was being held on $1,000 bond or $500 cash. Don't pee on the Z

Isn't it also acidic? And acid with the crappy paint of a Z...doesn't sound like a combo made in heaven.

 

Z owner are not to be messed with! But seriously though, that is wrong! The father should set a better example for his son!

 

That sucks. Hopefully those punk kids will be charged with destruction of property/trespassing at least. The bat was a little overboard, but people have a right to protect the property they work hard day in and day out for.

One thing is for certain, these guys will think twice before taking a whiz on someone else's car!

 

I think haters should be punished, in some form. Maybe not this brutal, but they must be punished.

i wish stuff like this would get on the 10oclock news so the word got out...people would definately think twice before they vandalize a car.....

 

Vandalism sucks.
You have no respect for other people's property you deserve what you get. If the guy they beat wasn't the one that did it then that's what really sucks.
If he WAS the guy who pissed on the car??? Well, then I just hope they didn't do too much damage to the bat.

I'm sure I'd AT LEAST do the same thing...

 

Urine is perfectly sterile...you can drink it if you want. And urine can be acidic, but it can also be basic and should actually be somewhere around neutral. He shoulda just called the cops from the apartment, gone down there and wrestled someone to the ground if he needed and let the cops take care of it. I'd hardly classify this as 'destroying' the property, in all likelyhood the rain on long island is more acidic that this dude's urine.
