Y would they lie? The hole episode was about how shitty the car is. They smashed on that car quite a lot

Actually, when it first came out, yes, TG trashed the Z pretty badly. Then I think about a year or so later, they declared it one of their top cars in its class. Everybody was "WTF"?

i believe it was an de i want them to redo the episode but with a hr and see if it can keep up with the 300zx they had

 

Very quick time indeed. It was actually only a few tenths slower than the 996 911 Turbo.

 

Z is very good on the track but I am also surprised with the time. I would also like to see it re-done with a Nismo 350Z or at the last a HR 350Z

Have they done a time yet for the 370Z?

 

they did an episode with the 370 but it was a series of drift challenges.

 

I would not put a lot of faith in Top Gear. Have you driven at a track? You should know that tires can make or break lap time. Are all these cars running the same tires?

While I do agree, they use the tires that the cars come with. The M3 uses Michelin Pilot Sports or some other high end Bridgestone. The Z either used a continental, michelin, or bridgestone RE040 more than likely.

Yup, it did a 1:28 I believe right next to an STi's lap time. Just type in Top Gear lap times in google and the wiki link comes up with all the lap times they have done from all episodes.
