Default Airbourne at 120+mph

A very close freind of mine relayed this event to me yesterday...he had his z out on a back road in N. Jersey, it was right after dark...could see straight for more than a mile...pushed it hard and last look down he was still accelerating at 120 mph with a lot of throttle left when he hit a little rise and dip in the road...swears he was off the ground at 120 mph, he said probably only a couple of inches but he's not sure, car came down nicely and he had to back off because the road was coming to an curve...he said it really got his heart going...I bet it did.

Too fast for me unless I'm on a track somewhere!

I'll bet it did. btw, having gotten a vehicle or two airborne off-road, it takes ALOT to even get your tires off the ground 1mm. The suspension has alot of travel, so your car's body might lift 5 or six inches, and your gut tells you that you are in the air, but your tires are still touching asphalt.

Still, he might have been in the air...I'll bet he had a huge grin when he got home!!

And possibly a significant dry cleaning bill too!

That happened to me on my Ducati once. Quite a hair raising experience (I had more hair then).

If I had vision like that I wouldn't be wasting my time doing something trivial like driving. I'd be checking out the bishes. Many, many bishes.

No, I just get tired of people starting a thread about something and trolls coming in and chiding the poster. I see it all the time in here.

I am sure there is a good point to your post as well. Why dont you start your own thread or something...I honestly think you make a good point.

IS THIS OR IS THIS NOT a forum well people can say whatever they want too.

I am not a troll, I am voicing my opinion, if you have a problem with it, then report me to a moderator.

Here we go, another person added to my black list.

He did that and then he spammed every street racing thread on the board. I'm tired of his ranting also.

Well, for better or worse, there are too many folks who have come into close contact with bad accidents. But regardless of their opinion as to what your friend did, I'm sure we're all glad you didn't do it, and we're all glad your friend is alive and okay, and we're all glad his Z is okay. We would also tell him to be careful.

But yes, the grin he had must've been enough to eat the **** that was in his seat.

I think that Zandos' point is valid and that he has the right to "spam" everyone with regard to driving stupidly (street racing or speeding or whatever).

Of course everyone else has the right to call him an idiot. Thats the point of free speech.

But to Zandos credit, this guy that got airborne in his Z got lucky he didn't self select himself out of the gene pool. If you're doing 120 at night and you're going so fast and you can't see a section of road or react quickly enough to that section that is going to cause you to get airborne, then you are probably from the shallow end of the gene pool and you probably don't know how to swim.

Control is an illusion. It is a belief that helps to keep us sane.

We've all done stupid ****. Some of us have done REALLY stupid stuff.

And some of us die.

and some of us sem to stand on a soapbox (NO NAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!) not referring to ANY SINGLE PERSON. I'm just saying that every post where somebody wants to talk about driving more than 5 miles over the sped limit, all of these people get up on their ox, and feel compelled to leteveryone know how stupid that poster was.
I am quite sure that every one here HAS sped (past tense) at one time or the other and just because it wasn't you this time dosent mean that you are now above the person who was simply enjoying owning a freaking sports car..... come on , just keep your negetave death comments to posts where it is RELEVANT....(racing thru traffic, for instance) but driving ALONE on a FREEWAY to check your car's top speed shouldn't be something that we all get bashed for...i mean seriously, come on. cars (Z ) are supposed to be FUN!!! ok, i'm done now, take care...
