Angry Some tried to steal my Z

I can't win.
Once again, the z going to have to go into the shop. Not the dealer fault nor Nissan.
Some delinquent tried to break into my car. Ripped the door handle 3 inches from the door. I guess I have to get the whole handle replaced. I know it is not going to be cheap.
Plus they scratched the paint, around the handle. Looks as if they tried to use a screw driver.
Supposedly you can break into the z. if you, disable the door handle, the window will automatically roll down. Easy access.
Once again I don't drive the car, and the time I do drive it, some tries to steal it.

I guess they tried several methods, because i have air coming threw the window insulation. I guess he tried to use a clothes hanger or the screw driver to fit behind the glass. They might have knocked the window off track a little. I heard of someone else a while back, getting there car broken into, and the thief did the same thing, that was done to my car. I would post pics, but I don't want to give any thives who surfs this board any ideals, on what it looks like.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Too bad you couldn't have caught them in the act. I would have personally bailed you out of jail if you could have beat the ever loving crap out of him/them.

Supposdly you can jimmy off the door handle, and the wiring will be exposed. Thats at least what I heard about a year ago about the car. Was hoping they would have fixed it by now on the Z.

You should have transformed into a gun and shot him in the knees.

Its no myth. Yes the wires are exposed, when this happens.
Waiting to get an est. So far looks as if it is going to be over 500.
Worse case sernerio, they have to replace my door, door handle and repaint. Best case, they can pull the dents, bind the handle back to the door, and repaint. Either way looks as if it is coming out of my pocket. I am so pissed right now.
I have to look on the bright side, it could have been worse

If they broke into the Z as they broke into mine, they stuck two screwdrivers underneath the doorhandle, pulled up, and slitted the wire... which will make the windows roll down... easy access. The stock alarm doesn't even go off. If its the same damage, they can reattach the door handle with some zipties without any problems locking the doors. Cost me 10 dollars in labor. I had to live with two small dings below my door handle, but some touch-up paint covered it right up. Solution? Get an aftermarket alarm.

That is what it looks like those bastards did. I have dents all around the door handle, and side panel. Plus they scatched the sh%t out of my door. Looks as if he was trying to write his name. And yes my wires are exposed. I guess they didn't have enough time to cut the wires.

Did you get an aftermarket alarm, and if so, what type did you get. I want one with electric shock

Your insurance wont pay for this? That sucks. My last car got keyed and i got a paint job out of it for free. If someone wants to vandalize my car, fine....it'll just get fixed with a newer part for free ;-)

First of all, HE TOOK MY TRANSFORMER GUN JOKE! I was going to say something like that. Secondly, what insurance company does not pay for a car getting broken into? Isn't that was car insurance is for? That is why we pay outrages monthly insurance rates even for a Ford Tempo. What insurance company are you using so I never use them? UNHEARD OF!!! I don't want to tell you what to do or anything like that, but you need to get on the phone or even better go to your insurance office and start talking to people and not in a nice way either. They can't refuse your insurance claim if your car is broken into and a police report is made. I mean, once again, that is what they are for. Sorry for ranting but I hear everyday in some way or another, on the radio, on the tv, or even online, how insurance companies are always ripping people off and refusing a logit claim. You are now a statistic in this.

You shouldn't have to pay out of pocket....that is what you have insurance for. Hopefully you added theft into the policy!

The only out of pocket expense I can see is the deductible. If the damage is less than your deductible then you will be paying for it 100%, but if it is less then you just pay up to whatever is your deductible.
