Here is my educated guess from what I see on the roads ...

35% Silverstone
30% Chrome Silver
12% Daytona Blue
10% Super Black
5% Lemans Sunset
3% Redline
3% Brickyard
2% Pikes Peak White

That's after one year of intense viewing. I hope that added up to 100%.

i think the color ratio of the various colors are starting to even out if anything... except brickyard. That thing is still like capturing a unicorn when you see one.

Strange, in all these polls I've seen here and in other forums, the Daytona Blue is usually the highest number, but I've never seen one on the road (except mine of course).

this poll doesn't take into account the personality of the driver of certain colored cars. Maybe all DB owners also are interested in computers so you get more DB responses. Am i thinking too much about this?

Wouldn't it be interesting to see how many members actually don't own a Z? At least I think it would be interesting...

Nope, that's just smart thinking! Stuff like that happens all the time in any kind of research. That's why its really tough to get truly accurate statistics. I'm taking this Psyc course, and for the lab we have to try account for issues like that in experiments -- biases!

You got that right. I bought my brick sight unseen. I had to have it trailered in from Arkansas. I was going to get a silverstone but at the time I was buying it seemed like every other Z in town was silver or silverstone. I love the brickyard but I still think silverstone looks awesome.

Ah! Yes, I forgot about "reoporting" and "selection" bias, so very true.....

I also must agree that there are very liberal inclusion and exclusion criteria (i.e. "do you even own a Z)...which could cause a significant shift in the 99% CI.

Mr Scorpio brings up a good point as well....It's easy to pretend you have a Z and difficult to verify...

Therefore, I feel these results might be a tad tainted and will not make any "hard and fast" therapeutic judgements based upon them...

I own a CS, and that's pretty much 50% of the color I see on other Z's. I know you guys prefer Silverstone, and disregard silver(even though CS is different than most plain silvers) because it's too common. Black is a filthy beast(I've gone black, and I'm not going back). I love Daytona Blue, though.

I have to agree. I see many CS. I just have trouble thinking about how they will discontinue the BY. What a beautiful color in person.
If I/we saw many of the colors before we pre-ordered our SS, I don't know if I/we would have gotten the SS. He thought it would be much darker. More like the Audi.

My favorites... BY, PPW, SS then LS. Of course none of them would be returned if another appeared on my driveway!

every meet i go to half the cars are either CS or Silverstone, then there's a sprinkling of others and usually only one white and one or two brickyards.

I have a LeMans. There is one other here in town that I know of. It's always parked at a little doctors office.

Here's a novel concept. Just ask Nissan NA what the color breakdown was in last years' sales. Surely they keep records of that sort of thing. Would they keep that private for any reason?

I don't own a 350z but in my lifetime I have seen:
6 CS, 1 DB, 1 RL, 1 SB, and 1 Lemans Sunset.

Don't know if some of the CS's were repeats though. Saw 1 in Knoxville (First Z I saw in person), 3 on the way home from thanksgiving this year (from atl to nashville -- up I75 and I24 travelling the opposite direction), and 2 in Midtown Atlanta (where I live). Saw the DB in Hermitage, TN and the Redline on I75 heading back to Nashville after the Peach Bowl last year. Saw the Sunset Z at a nissan dealership on the turntable out front as I was driving by in Riverdale, GA. Didn't see any other Z's in the lot, though. And finally, the SB I saw on Georgia Tech's campus, twice.

Kind of strange I remember every singe 350z I have ever seen and where I saw it...
