And I graduate in June also even though I should be graduating now but I have to take a 2 unit class called like "intro to higher learning" that I was supposed to take as a freshman... Congrats though!! On to graduate school now lol, it never ends.
If you want something awesome and uncommon, get a 993.

Agreed. Spending all $30k of my saved up money on a car while headed into grad school is just stupid, let alone buying a separate DD. I made the same mistake when I transitioned from undergrad to grad school on a $15k 300ZX twin turbo, and I paid for it for years. Just keep the Z until you finish grad school, get a job, then buy a car. Or did I miss something here? In one sentence I thought you said you already had a job lined up (firefighter?), then there was mention of grad school. Can you do both (full time)?

In that case, youre BEST bet if you want a nice car is not have two cars that do the same thing. Buy one nice one.

If it was ME?
And if i was a foot shorter?

2003 Lotus Esprit twin turbo v8.

can be had for 50 grand w maybe 12k miles on it.

OR get yourself a nice used 996 turbo.. same price, 50-65k. And then you have a porsche 911 turbo.. end of game, you win.

See how that works ?

OR.. save your money.
Lol Im big enough to be a firefighter???

And yea one nice car is an option, but I probably wouldn't mod a nice car which kind of ruins the fun for me. I could mod a charger where as I wouldn't mod the SLK.

Lol there's a lot of hate on the SLK, it'll smoke a Z...

And I think a more mature person would do the same, but that's not me quite yet. I just don't need a house at the moment. That'll be my project after grad school, if not sooner. I'm going to have fun for now since I can.

Plus Im living in a multimillion dollar house in Rancho Palos Verdes with a couple of buddies of mine that my best friend's father (who's stupid rich) owns for peanuts until he (my best friend) graduates from college in another year or so...

I am firefighting full time, and I am entering a masters program made for people in my field of work. It is called emergency management, and they realize the people getting this degree have odd hours. Plus Im getting a masters in public administration after that sometime and it's mostly online for the same reasons.

996TTs are going for as low as upper $30ks now. They are the red headed step child in an otherwise hot family of cars. Not that I wouldn't buy one for $39k, but NO WAY for 50-60k. If you are going to spend $65k, might as well get a 993TT.

i made sure to note that i mentioned your "stature" with no offense.. im just 6'5 240, so everyones shorter than me.

those are just REALLY small cars u mentioned.. and if youve ever seen the Esprit ( REAL lotus haha), its INCREDIBLY small inside. Its probably why they didnt sell as well.

yeah id probably agree with that. 993s are sick.. guy at my gym has a CLEAN one, whale tail n all. I just dig all the bigger Porsche stuff over the smaller lotus stuff from experience IMO. Ive been in most of em.

I say all this becuase I have a work buddy who is addicted to buying cars.
in the last 12 months he has purchased ( and still owns ALL) a 996 TT Porsche, an 07 Elise, a Turbo Toyota Pre Runner, a murdered out Excursion, and a lifter 2005 Tahoe.

Kids crazy.

And HIS pal rolls a Buggatti.
I have a ( as in ONE) 350z... thats it.
Go figure.

You could always take the Z to Denmark and sell it. Z's go for 103K Euros overthere.

A gtr is a fine choice but I dont believe thats the logical choice for the next step after a 350z. Id say thats a couple steps later.

Allow me to correct myself, I meant a used GT-R or used RS4.
