Talking finally! test drive!

ah man i am a happy guy. today was the first day of school for me, but i don't really care. cuz after school i went over and test drove the z. holy shiat, i nearly pissed my pants. they had the silverstone there that i wanted (cancelled preorder) but they said someone came in and bought it earlier in the morning (damn school!) i said if i could test drive it and they said no, but they might be able to hook me up with the boss's car.

and the boss's car is a fully loaded black track 350z. zainoed and everything! niiiice. the sales guys were awesome. we got onto the roads and terrorized the streets of claremont, doing 60 on local (i hope there aren't any police officers up in here). we got on the freeway and the car has f*cking legs man! it had so much pickup even in 6th gear. the salesguy is a tite guy, the car only had 300 miles on it and he was like "push the throttle harder dammit!" we were doing 80. i was like "i'm gonna miss the exit" and he's like "damn the exit, keep on going!" so we passed three more exits and we're doing 110 on the freeway. we exit, drive local (60 mph average) back to the dealer and dude i go straight to the restroom. cuz the fastest i've ever gone in a car is 100, and at least it was my car, not a dealership's boss's car. the boss ran outside and he was like "how many miles did you put on the car?" yeah, we put 20 miles on the car, his car, and he didn't look too happy. but hey, at least he's got a customer. the next silverstone coming in is MINE.

I think in California the driving age is 15 (or permit at least). Kind of scary considering all the twisty roads and mega-highways over there.

How could they let you test drive a car without a driver's license, Hmm.

15 is the age you can get a permit in california. You can't get a license until 16. I also believe that you have to have a "license" to test drive any car in California. At least that is what the dealers tell me. Any Cali dealers out there verify this.

Some younger people have a chance to do some cool things and you should be happy for them and not try to be negative all the time.
Because driving "any" car at those speeds, on those roads, at that age is not cool. It's called stupid, and that is why insurance is soo high for that age group. A 15 year old does not have sufficient experience to be driving like that. And if he is mature like he said he is then he wouldn't be driving like that in the first place.

Just the fact that you call what that guy did "cool" instead of stupid proves you still have a lot of growing up to do.

This sounds very familiar to something that was posted on the celica fprums about a few weeks ago, was posted here and said "i hope this wasn't you Z on the lot because it was test driven with complete disreguard to the break-in."
