Anybody know how to reset airbag light?
I had to pull my passenger seat for my sound system install, and in so doing disconnected the airbag plug. Now I've got the incessant blinking warning light on the dash. Is there a secret way anybody might know of to reset the light, short of going to the dealer and paying one hour's labor for them to plug in their "Consult" for 5 seconds???!!!
TIA,
Greg

Josh,
My car stereo installer tried that. Actually, he tried several combinations of neg/pos battery lead disconnect/connects, for different amounts of time. Apparently he's has some success doing this with other cars, mainly GM/Ford.
I really think I may be stuck having to go to the dealer for help. Maybe I'll act dumb, and say that the car was like this when I bought it (10 days ago), and maybe they'll reset it under warranty....
Anybody else have any ideas?....

Real easy.
Insert key turn to on position for 7 seconds. At 7th second, airbag light will start to blink, turn to off immediately within 1 second. Wait 10 seconds and repeat. Repeat a total of 4 times.

Steve,
You're an absolute genius! I tried it and it worked! Where did you get this trick? Are you somehow affiliated with Nissan?
Any other tricks you'd like to share with us?......
Thanks a million,
Greg

Wow steve!! Amazing. I thought you were messing with him. Sounded like that old Contra code - up, up ,down ,down, left, right ,left, right, a,b ,select, start. BEN
edit- So steve, what light do you have to wait to blink to reset the ECU to stop tire feathering?

My Z is at the dealer today for a flashing air bag light. The car is all stock- the light came on due to nothing I did. Its good to see that there is any easy way to get the light to stop blinking, but more importantly I want to be sure that there really is nothing wrong with the air bags or seat belt tensioner... Others using this trick should be careful if the light came on and you're not sure why...
