considering the situation the car doesnt look to bad you can prob part alot out for some good change. Glad to hear your ok. AWD is def a good plan of action for icy areas.

Insurance already took possession of the car. I was able to swap out a few things (Motordyne exhaust) back to OEM but some things I left (wheels) and insurance paid me for.

Sucks...sorry to hear/see .. Best of luck with your future car!

Just something to note that it won't matter what platform you choose, you can still lose control depending on the weather conditions... I would look into the appropriate tire for the season, because after all, even if you have AWD and summer tires, with the same weather conditions you experienced, you would still lose control!

I absolutely agree. Time will tell what I end up getting... after looking through all of my pics and spending about 4-5hrs on here today, I'm tempted to pay cash for an older, clean, low mile Z and just save what I would be paying for a car payment for a new Evo and get one down the road

I know somewhat how you feel man. Be very happy you didn't get hurt. I wrecked my 09 triumph daytona 675 badly, and I wasn't so lucky as to not get injured. Glad to hear your ok.

Cars can be replaced, your body can not.

Damn...how fast were you going? I'm guessing you didn't have leathers on?

I took a spill one time on my 600RR, and my Dianese jacket took all the abuse. I walked away with a few minor contusions.

Glad you're ok. Horrific story.

I do understand the emotional attachment to a vehicle because it happens with me all the time. I get sad whenever I would have to return rental cars lol :-X I sold my first Z, missed it so much had to buy another one.

That just doesn't look like enough damage to total the car. Is there damage to parts not shown in the picture? Did all the air bags go off?

Glad to hear you're OK.
