Default cost of track package rays?

so the dealership just got my car and started taking a look at it. (heh, i would be the one to crash on a sat night) anywho, they just called me to ckeck that i was ok and see what they wanted me to do.

he was telling me that one of the rays will cost $1400. ins is def. picking it up so i didn't totally poop on myself when i heard that. and i know they're factory 18" race-crafted volks but sweet bujeezus! i was thinking $900 at the most.

what do yall's dealers charge for the volks and does the $1400 include tire? i was thinking with the ins money i might just get a new set of tires (and maybe aftermarket wheels.) dunno yet. too early to tell. but i really love the stock rays...we'll see.

so basically i was just wondering what kind of price yall had been told for the track wheels?

I would ask Jeff or Jason at Performance Nissan. They had a set of used ones for 1000 I think but not sure if it was sold.

You can always look for them on Ebay, for 1400 you could pick up a whole set of Rays.

heh actually it would end up being around 2800 b/c they have to replace at least 2 wheels (talking about just machining the scuff out of the 3rd)

i still dunno if i would want to get rid of the stock wheels though. i do really like them.

forget the rays, get a nice set of after market wheels with more rubber so you don't spin again.

Just check into what you will get as they are probably used or "take-offs" from a new car, but a great deal if you get 2800 from the insurance company and you can buy them for 900.

Aren't the NISMO wheels better than the Ray's?

First of all what happened?????!!!! you just got that car.

Second of all, If your wheels are screwed and insurance has to cough up 1400 a round then take the money and run......
buy yourself some nice 19s. You know you will get around to doing it anyway.

These will be mine soon.......

forged metal from rays is all the same generally. weight difference are accounted for by different amounts of metal in the spoke design and size of the rim. but even so, heaviest forged rays rim might be 20lbs, and the lightest 16. nismo vs track however will not be that huge, 16 Im thinking is like gram lights, all those 5 and 6spoke ones will be within a lb of each other.

the nismo ones are better. Its not just about the weight but more about the size. Nismos are 9.5" rear, 8.5" front opposed to tracks 8.5" 8.0" respectiveley. Bigger tires are better!
