Waiting Time...
I'm going to order a Super Black Track 350z with DVD NAV and all options except side air bags. I live in Chicago and want to avoid the winter. I also want to wait to get the car until I move to a new neighborhood that is more parking friendly. I was thinking I'd buy it in mid to late January for arrival in March. Do you think that is a fair estimate of time, or too long / too short?

Geez... almost 4 months for you? I just ordered mine at the end of October, but the dealership placed the order at the beginning of November. (They said that was the first ordering allotment they had.) The dealership quoted me 90 days, so I'm hoping it won't be longer than that!

My dealer quoted me 60 to 90 days. From what I've read, all of the dealers place their orders around the first of the month. That makes me think that if you order on the 10'th of the month, your request won't really be submitted until the first of the next month. If there truly is a 90 day period from the time your order is entered until it arrives, if you tack on another couple of weeks for the period until the first of the next month, then it is possible that it would take up to 4 months.
Also, you left coast guys probably get them quicker once they're off the boat than everybody else. Mine will go from the port by train to Houston then by truck to Baton Rouge. That's probably two weeks right there. If you on the east coast, you can probably add another week.
All of those variables are what cause the dealer to tell you 60 to 90 days just to cover all the time before your order is placed and after it comes off the boat.
(I'm guessing)
