When your wheels were spinning did it cut power to your engine?
In my dad's Jag XK8, it kills the power and you sit there for a second with no power until the wheel stops spinning. It was kind of annoying if you ask me.

Hah! Listen to this guy "in my dad's jag xk8", your dad was a doctor too, wasn't he??
I thought the title of this thread a tad bit deceiving... sure, it's interesting, but startiling?... of course, I don't startle very easily so maybe it's just me.

Geez, what's the big deal? Lots of doctors have sons/daughters who pursue the same career.
We can't help it if you're working at 7-Eleven.

Mine says "SLIP" but I guess that's close enough to "SKID". I thought that was displayed when the VDC kicks in. I feel the TCS kick in and don't get the light, but when the VDC does its thing (in a corner) I see the "slip" thing.
Actually, not only WAS my dad a doctor but he still is! He has had not one but two liver transplants and is STILL working (he's 62). He unfortunately got stuck by a needle used on one of his patients that had hepatitis B back in the early 80's (before the hepatitis B vaccine was out) and he contracted hepatitis that eventually destroyed his liver. Just something for you guys to think about, even we docs put our lives on the line sometimes every time we get stuck by something in surgery trying to help someone else!
My wife got Hep C from a needle stick. Has the worst strain-Type 4. Had to get on disability. She was a psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and just got to where she couldn't do her job. She starts her second round of Interferon treatments within a couple weeks. The first one was a failure. Always hate to hear about someone getting the damned disease. Sorry about your dad. Did your dad get a transplant?
another cool thing I found out about the Z is if you accidentally leave your headlights on, it automatically turns itself off. Neat little feature, especially if you've had a dead battery before.
