haha...this post surprised me for a moment because i posted as "nate" on zcar.com for a long time before the registration process was implemented. i didn't realize i'd provided any commercials to anyone.

anyway, i thought this would be a good place to congratulate JmanZ on getting some props on the nissan site. i poked around and didn't see it mentioned anywhere in any of the other threads here, but i just clicked on the "explore shift" link that can now be found at www.nissandriven.com, www.nissanusa.com, and www.z.com (take your pick) and the "SHIFT_membership" section of it lists www.my350z.com as one of the places to "experience the Z community."

when JmanZ set out to develop this site, he asked if i was interested in helping moderate the forums. i was flattered, but this was right around the time i had come to the conclusion that i had to reduce the hold of the Z obsession in my life or go crazy. work was too demanding at the time and it was clear for various reasons that any acquisition of a Z on my part was going to have to wait a couple of years at least. i couldn't maintain the daily reading and posting related to something i wasn't going to own for years to come. i'd been going strong since the introduction of the orange concept in january 2001, and i just couldn't do it anymore.

recently, i've taken some time to follow the arrival of the cars. i've been very impressed with what JmanZ has done with this site, and i've been reading with great interest the stories of Z's as they come rollin' off the boat. i'm very happy for all you guys and gals! keep the faith!
