Question does your Z do this?

i noticed that whenever i turn on my airr conditioning, no matter cold or heat, my idle raises a little bit to slightly just below 1000 RPM. I am wondering if this is normal

Yep.
Turning on the AC engages the AC Clutch and causes a little more load on the belt so the engine kicks up the RPM to make sure everything stays copacetic.

ever driven a pathetic powered car? I mean like one of those 100hp 4banger honda or kia jobs. when the AC or alternator kicks in the engine actually has trouble idleing. starts getting all rough.
