10k for a car will = a higher milage 350z. If you find a decent deal, you most likely won't have too much money left for mods. GL with your search.

2 questions:
1- do 350Zs work good after 90,000 miles?
2- if I had an extra $1,000 to spend, what mods could I get?

Like most people will tell you, "SEARCH". There's plenty of valuable information around this forum.. and no one on here can tell you if a specific car is good after a certain amount of miles. I've read that a few 350z's have over 200k miles. It just depends on how it was maintained and no one on here can tell you that so inspect the car if/when you buy it.

As for mods, it depends on what you want to get. You could get 10 mods for $1000 or you could get 1 mod for $1000. All depends on your preference.

A 2003 or 2004 will suit your budget.

My question:

I have $10,000 to spend on a car. I want a 350Z, so which year car should I get and what mods (if any)? No body kits, no rice.

I was looking into a Daytona Blue 2003 350Z with black interior, and dr-34 gun metal grey rims, no engine mods. Comments?

Search Autotrader, local paper, etc. See what 10K will buy in your local market.

I suggest reading this ...

... and follow all the threads it links to.

Many of our members have 150,000 plus miles on the original motor.

What's wrong with an Accord? Honda's are very dependable cars And you really shouldn't clown on kids who are less fortunate or couldn't afford such a nice car man. Have a little bit of empathy. I am not trying to be mean here, but just really think about your original post. It would rub some folks the wrong way - makes you look young and naive.

And when I was 17, I had a skateboard and a bike and worked part time. I was NO WHERE near having "$10,000 to spend on a car." You are either really good with your money...or your parents are helping you out.

Nonetheless, 10K range you're looking at about a 2003. And you're young, keep it bone stock - it'll be fast enough for you.

Honestly if you are new to driving, the Z is not good for you.

1. Of course
2. A lower mileage Z than the one you would get with $1,000 less. Mod your body to get the girls, not the car. Hit the gym, not the books... "nerd".

all we need to do is answer the ?. the rest is just wait till he hits something.

i have an 03 perf z. i love it,and it is running amazingly well. for 10 g's it is highly worth it. even if the vehicle has high miles just get all the info on the previous owner/s if you can to determine how the z was treated. B4 you even buy this or any car have a local mechanic inspect it and let you know if it is even worth the buy to begin with. The rest is just common sense.

Enjoy!
