Lust, then love with a twist
Its been a long time since I've been on the forum, but this was always the best place to get info, so I'm back. I was a preorder owner, and took delivery of the second 350Z in San Diego. Part of that amazing experience was being given the Ron Sessions book "Lust, then love" by my dealer. If you look on e-bay, these books sell for about $5. My book is different.
The Nissan design center that developed the 350Z is located here in San Diego. Very soon after I got my car, the local Z club visited the center. I knew there would be lots of curiosity about my car, so I brought along the book too.
While taking the tour we met Dianne Allen and Ajay Panchal, the two main designers. I asked them to sign the book. Not only did they sign, but Dianne took it around to everyone else that was still there and had them sign as well.
A few meetings later, Jonnie Gable came down from LA. She is Mr K's former assistant and is still very active in the Z community, and is still very good friends with Mr K. She offered to send the book to Japan to get Mr K's signature as well. Of course I jumped on the chance. Before I sent it however I put sticky notes on all the pages that had photos.
It took two months, but when the book came back, all but one of the individuals in the book had signed their photos! Mr K included a personal letter stating that the book will be the only complete book in the world signed by all that worked on the new 350Z.
I've had this book since 2003, and was just curious if anyone on here would have an idea of how to value this book. Where would you even start to sell it? Its such a specialized item, places like ebay are probably out. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks for enduring the long story.

my honest opinion is that that is cool and all but most people are not going to be that interested in this so you might get a few extra bucks out of it to a die hard z enthuisist but that is just about it it is unigue but that does not always mean it will be very valueable my advise would to be to hold onto it for a while and keep it in good condition and when there are not as many 350z's still driving around. peopl will be more wiling to buy stuff when the car is not as common that is just my opinion.
Id say keep it. For all those important people to take their time off a busy schedule and sign it, should make the book more meaningful. If Mr. K himself went around collecting signatures for you, Im sure he believed that as an enthusiast, you would hold on to it.
Do you still own your 350z? I think that the book would definitely be a worthy addition to a personal collection/ history.
If it becomes a burden and you dont want it, feel free to give it to me. I would never part from it, and I would probably put it in a glass container. :P

Unfortunately I don't have the Z anymore. The economy and all. I just happened to run across the book today and was more curious about its value than serious about selling it. I kind of feel like greg does that its a novelty rather than a valuable item, but sometimes you just wonder......
