I usually shift at 2800-3K rpms daily driving, more spirited driving at 4-5K,depends on my mood...I definitely dont ever bog the motor trying to conserve gas,the Z does a great job on gas considering its a 300hp sports car.
QFT I think shifting is fun, not some kind of hassle. I love the sound my tp's make when I shift, it's like the blow-off valve equivalent for NA

So you never answered my question. Why aren't you capable of asking your gf how to drive her car?

Those 18" chrome wheels with +40 offset do not belong on a Z.

Thats because the original post should have read.

Hi, I'm a big loser and have no taste in wheelz, but I'm too ashamed to admit I can't drive my own z and have to say it's my imaginary GF's.

OP, thanks for the troll explanation, this forum would have been completely lost without your enlightenment.

You actually reported a rude comment? Really? Really? You act and drive about as limp as your d@*k. Now go back to driving your automatic geek squad beetle and GTFO. What a waste of bandwith.

I guess the saying's true, it's making up for something else.

For all you guys asking for my girlfriends picture, why don't you go out and get one of your own? Oh yeah, small dick and no *****.

It's pretty lame you gotta ask for pictures of mine

So many fake people behind computers makes me sick

You losers don't deserve this car. Grow the **** up.
Somebody's clitoris just got rubbed the wrong way...

But really now, My Z was what I learned to drive stick in. You have to stall it a few times before you find the sweet spot on the clutch. As far as shifting goes... a few weeks back I tried the skipping gears thing to save gas, and it works, but then the car also loses it's fun factor. It's a sports car, drive it like it was meant to be driven. If you can't deal with the $60 at the pump every week, you shouldn't have a Z anyway, get a Honda. The 0.9 MPG improvement I experienced didn't justify the loss of excitement.

IMO pulling out in 2nd is acceptable on a downward slope. Let the car get rolling to 7-8mph by itself and then let the clutch out. Other than that, use them all.

That fact is that i am a real human being typing and asking the questions.

That's the problem with this world. The majority of people are unkind and devoid of any sense of helpfulness. It's going to end up in our destruction and when there's no more fuel to drive your pretty cars, you'll think twice about the way you've acted in the past.

The majority of people here are trolls. Here's a definition of that so you know exactly what you are.

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted". While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, mass media uses troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families.

I have better things to do with my time then troll. I can only prey that someday people will not find amusement in ganging up and badgering people.
It doesn't matter if it's online or not, it's the same.

I'm grateful that i got the oppourtunity to drive such a lovely car, hence why i came to ask questions so i don't screw it up. Most of you are un grateful pieces of **** and don't deserve this car, or even have access to internet.

These types of attitudes give human kind a bad name.

If you don't think big chrome wheels on a z look good, your a ****ing retard.

Your misery is what make's you arrogant.

Peace the **** out!

Quted for epic trolling

I know we're a bit harsh at times, but seriously stupid polls that ask if you take off in 3rd and 4th, dont deserve serious answers.

Picture link is down now. What a surprise, maybe forum evolution of the fitest actually works.

Just to clarify OP and put this on your "Sophisticated level". We are not some a$$hole, newb hunting beasts...we are always glad to help when it's needed but understand forums like this are a form of entertainment to an extent as well. Your level of "newcomer" has nothing to do with the fact you know NOTHING about driving any manual transmission vehicle.

We can't help you drive your GF's car over an internet forum. Learning how to drive a manual transmission would be a start...try "googling" driving tips for learning a manual transmission.

Basically you came into a stereotypically masculine section of the vast interwebs known as auto enthusiast forums and asked an estrogen filled question about skipping gears b/c you don't feel like going through them all and "it's crazy to shift 1,2,3,4,5,6...".

Read the manual about guages and the appropriate section for oil would have been found in the maintenance section.

check your alignment out too... I had the same problem with the drifting at 140+ got the car corner balanced and aligned and 160+ and no drifting anymore nothing else changed on car.
