You my friend are a troll.
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional responseHMMM i GUESS THAT COULD BE ARGUED
[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.WASNT AWARE THIS WAS STILL ON TOPIC
[3] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted".
While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context. For example, mass media uses troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families.

Just to clarify OP and put this on your "Sophisticated level". We are not some a$$hole, newb hunting beasts...we are always glad to help when it's needed but understand forums like this are a form of entertainment to an extent as well. Your level of "newcomer" has nothing to do with the fact you know NOTHING about driving any manual transmission vehicle.
We can't help you drive your GF's car over an internet forum. Learning how to drive a manual transmission would be a start...try "googling" driving tips for learning a manual transmission.
Basically you came into a stereotypically masculine section of the vast interwebs known as auto enthusiast forums and asked an estrogen filled question about skipping gears b/c you don't feel like going through them all and "it's crazy to shift 1,2,3,4,5,6...".
Read the manual about guages and the appropriate section for oil would have been found in the maintenance section.

I don't know how I missed this thread... but this is by far the worst poll question I have ever seen in my life...
You know what sucks about common sense; it cannot be taught nor learned.
Please go buy an automatic car and try to get through life.

I only voted for 4th gear b/c 6th wasn't listed. It's awesome, I never have to shift so it's like I have an automatic. Being such a sophisticated car, you don't actually have to buy the automatic transmission but still look cool because it's a manual.
First.... find ya an auto to drive, second.... blown out means driven on highway for an extended period like a road trip. As far as broken in, all newer car (after the mid/late 90s) do not need to be broken in , only need to be mindful on highways for the first 5-10 k and vary your speeds ie. don't set it on cruise for 300 miles. I wouldn't be driving someone else's car if I wasn't thoroughly familiar with these types of things.
It's always best to start with 6th gear, then 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and last but not least, 1st. When your in first gear, ensure your RPM's are peaking, press the clutch, throw it in reverse, and then pop the clutch. Cool things will happen...
You forgot to put your stunner shades on first!
I use all 6 gears and tend to shift before 3k rpm while cruising. This is my 4th car. All stick. You kind of learn to listen to your engine. Took me a day to learn the Z's heavier clutch and catching point. It's great now

I know the problem here. Not just the OP but many guys on
this forum learned how to drive stick in this car or the honda before.
So they saw some old worker pulling his commercial truck out
of a ramp. He uses first their only because it is a granny gear.
So on the road he never uses it because it only for that. He
leaves in second, the only thing is this car is not a truck. Just
get an auto and dont puff yourselves up because you finally
learned. We did too around 1984. That is why now I drive an
Auto.
