Default What would you choose?

I have been shopping around for a z lately and finally sold my truck. So within my price range I found two z's I like. I was curious to see some opinions on which one you would pick.

This one is black with less miles. Stock motor.
http://montgomery.craigslist.org/cto/2333841840.html

This one is red and has alot of aftermarket stuff but twice the miles and only a grand cheaper.
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/2385522490.html

If anyone is looking to sell their z on here I am willing to drive and pick up a car so just let me know. I am looking to spend no more than 11,000.

Check both out in person and see if they run well.
If both check out, go with the one with the mods and just part out the stuff you don't like and replace with something you do like. You might even make some money from doing so...

But if you're one of the people who wants to start from scratch, go with the stock one.

I'm not diggin' the wheels on the first one listed. I would personally go with #2.

if they are both about equal in terms of mechanically sound when you check them out in person. I'd probably go for the red, just based on the color.
nothing against black, just prefer the red.

why does nobody use punctuation or proper grammar on craigs list? i would if i was trying to sell something, otherwise i type like this

anyway, i think i would go with the black one. it having half the miles alone would sell me on it, holding other things constant such as body condition and wear and tear. plus, i have a sneaking suspicion that the red one with all the mods has been driven pretty hard. mods normally give me that idea..which could very well be wrong, but they give me the feeling that if a person were to put a bunch of performance mods on a car, he/she will drive it pretty hard. definitely see them both in person and test drive them. youll get a much better idea then.

Between the two, definitely go with the stock car. However, I suggest save up some more, look around, and get a stock 07-08 with an HR. Apparently, it's the best thing on earth.

I'm not a fan of the salad bar wing on the first black one. They look great on some Zs but not on that one.

Oh wow, I really didn't see that wing on there the first time.
That thing is RIDICULOUS. Why does ANYBODY think those wings look good on anything other than real race cars?

Default yep

i agree, the black one or another one completely.
These cars both look raped tho.

there are PLENTY of 350zs out there that were leased by 43 year old women wasting thier husbands money on a Z as a third car... and drove it like Miss daisy.. bet theres a million of em out there that think a "spiritied drive" equals dropping the convertible roof and driving it to In-n-Out.

Anyone w a Z who starts buying chromie wheels and big terrible wings on a stock bodied car has SURELY ragg'd the car and raced on the fwy etc etc. I know i sure did. Why spend your cash on that?

Buy a lease trade in man.. pay 2 grand extra at a dealership, finance it and then pay it almost off the first month. Help your credit, etc etc.

CARBON FIBER DRIVESHAFT!!! NICE!

wait... we all have them.

Its stock, it just aint shiny.

^ this.

I bought a Z that someone had monkeyed with... poorly. Mostly just crappy stereo work on the inside, but still. We could tell the guts had been played with too, but I was buying a new engine anyway.

So for me, saving money on a played with Z was worth it, but then, I'm going out with a master tech and repairs aren't a problem. Plus, I rather like the idea of saving a Z that would otherwise look like crap, but that's me.

For most anyone else, start with stock and customize to what you like.
