Default Recall News, anyone?

Anyone received notice yet? I am confused on this recall, some say its over 600,000 Nissan vehicles, other say only about 100 or so.

Anyone? Here is something I read today, I might just call Nissan at the 1-800 number but I might just be wasting my time. BTW,
my dealer doesn't know squat either!

Make : NISSAN Model : 350Z Year : 2003
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 03V455000 Recall Date : NOV 04, 2003
Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 630000
Summary:
ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES, THE CIRCUIT BOARD FOR THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR MAY HAVE AN IMPROPER SOLDER JOINT DUE TO SOLDER DEFORMATION CAUSED BY HEAT STRESS ACCELERATED BY THE EXISTENCE OF FLUX RESIDUE DURING THE SOLDERING PROCESS.
Consequence:
THIS COULD CAUSE THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" WARNING LIGHT TO COME ON, CREATE A NO START CONDITION, CAUSE REDUCED ENGINE POWER, OR CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING DURING VEHICLE OPERATION, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CRANK POSITION SENSORS. VEHICLES INVOLVED IN A PREVIOUS RECALL CAMPAIGN, 01V357, ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS NEW CAMPAIGN. THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS USED IN THAT CAMPAIGN ARE ALSO AFFECTED. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING DECEMBER 2003. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261 OR INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.
Notes:
CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION’S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).

There are 630,000 2003 Zs?? I thought it was more like 30,000.

Also, I couldn't get that link to work.

Sorry, heres the link, and also the 630,00 vehicles is Nissans in general, not just the Z.

You'll have to type in the info to get there.

I got an email from MSN yesterday. It says the dealers should be sending out recall notices in early December.

I expect to hear from them any time in the near future.

Here is the cut and paste from my email...

It was a cr4p load of cars overall, but only a couple hundred Z's (the very early ones).

I was a preorder, and took delivery in mid Sept 2002. I don't know how early mine was built, but I haven't heard anything yet.

Well, here's the info on my Z and Maxima

03 Z made Mar 03

02 Maxima made Jan 02.

Guess it means my Z is safe and Maxima needs to be brought in. However I have not received any notice yet from the dealer.
