Lightbulb What was the first thing you did with your Z?

Everyone remembers their first upgrade or mod they've done to their car, or maybe you haven't done it yet but are saving and planning for it?
What was the first thing you did! Was it a succes or failure?

Slapped on a 3in, straight pipe, that a buddy of mine made, from the cats back. Pretty much a muffler delete. Was obnoxiously loud so, I had a resonator welded on and it sounds really good. Completely happy with it.

I bought it used.

I took it to stealerships and got it fully serviced, mounted a new set of tyres and attended a trackday the following month.

My first mod was stage2 Stoptech brake upgrade.

I actually did a de-mod on mine....the dude before me had an ugly a$$ billet grille on it so i took it off and burned it. I then tinted the headlights and tailights and threw on a short antenna and works great.

Guy i bought it from had a Injen CAI with a filter that's caked up to death. Converted the CAI to a SRI with a brand new K&N filter.

bought mine used back in March. '03 chrome silver with 45,000.

replaced the worn oem shifter and pedals and replaced with new oem parts.

recently installed my satin Z emblems (took off 350Z emblem on rear) and reused the "Z" from the 350Z emblem inside the cubby space where the nav would be, just to spruce things up.

installed my oem jdm clear led tail lights and stealth bulbs this past week as well.

pics will soon follow once I install my evo-r concept led front reflectors.

Being a design guy,the first things I did were for looks. My Z is dk gray/silverstone.Carbon fiber goes well with this color.First,I installed a CF front lip("apron"..below the grill)&headlight eyelids.I've since replaced the lip with a Mine's
full CF lip.I also did mirror, pillar covers and exhaust guards. My interior is all CF.The first
mech. mods were JWT popcharger&Berk Ztube...Also,a NISMO cat back exhaust.Went for
19"rims(replaced OEM 17").
No problems with most of my mods.Did research before doing...As for advice,I'd be careful ordering anything online "oversees"/Taiwan etc.Things may not fit.Quality is poor.
Only big problem I've had domestically(CF),there is a guy selling CF pieces that fit pillars,
gas lid covers etc...sells on E-BAY.the stuff is paper thin...warps,comes undone...junk.

Nismo HR dual intakes. Made the car sound angry under load. Forgot what they sound like since I got the Top Speed Headache-Inducing exhaust.
