Shell at Westminster is $1.53 and with my Shell card I get a 5 cents per gallon discount using the card.

Talking premature shutoff

i had the same problem with the pump shutting off early. The next time i got gas i put the gas release handle on the lowest setting and never have had the problem again.

almost 12k miles and a one year anniversary...

Default 3rd time

After the fuel shutting off at 9 gallons twice and 5 gallons last week, I brought it up while getting my feathering, grease streaks looked at.

The SM told me that they could not find anything wrong. He said that because of the saddle design of the tank that a 2nd fuel pump in the tank pumps fuel to the other side?...to keep the fuel level equal on both sides...

He ordered a new pump.

I will post when I find out more.

I have to get out of the car and tell the guy 10 times that the tank isn't full and that all he has to do is flip the nozzle upsidedown for it to work. I HATE not being able to pump my own gas. That was the one thing I liked about the 18 months I spent in Maryland.

Onni, I'm close. I'm in Ellicott City and I pay $1.90 for high test ( 93 ). Seems like Mobil is every where here.

They wont let you pump your own gas in jersey? Thats why it cost so much, they have to pay some poor shlep to pump it for you.

Dont know if it matters, is relevant, or if you care but it happens to Preludes as well. The little metal flap at some point has disappeared from my car as well as two other 5th Gens I know. None of us have seen any side effect from it.

I cant see it causing any real issues and of the three of us that have looked and noticed no problems. I mean really its just like have a nickel sliding around on the bottom of the tank, it's too big to get past the pickup and the way the pump is designed I cant see it even having the chance of blocking it.
