Mercury Insurance is great. They ended up giving me 19.4 after deductible for a 2006 with 123,000 miles. Looking into getting into something this weekend possibly.

How does the RX8 feel power wise? Is it's powerband smooth? What's the potential of those cars?

Power wise, nothing like a stock DE Z, no torque or fun till the high Rpms. IMO Rx8 are great in the turns/twisties though. Potential for the 8 is related to how full your wallet is. SFR and Greddy makes turbo kits that give you extra hp.


Edit: Rotary shops out there like in my previous post can unlock even more power or swap out for more rotors.

So just like the Z then. All depends on how much money you can spend. How does it relate to the Z when you hit the twisties?

If I can somehow turn the renesis in the rx8 to the renesis in the furai...that would be nice. just needs one more rotor...I was just surprised at how smooth the rx8 was, and I always loved very high revving engines. Im probably going to get an rx8 now, and save for a 370, hopefully nismo.

You want power ditch the renesis and get a 20B (3rotor) or 26B (4 rotor)

These guys built their 4-rotor out of two 13BREW engines!

your brother was doing a 0-60/ qm test in your car on that streight road. he gunned it from a stop, got bad traction on one tire and the car went 0-30-tree in 3 seconds.
new miata is more manly than an rx8. my buddy sold his for a g35 and rips on his old rx8 all the time. get another z, or a build up an rx7 or supra. you dont want to downgrade.

and your not gonna let anyone drive this one right? lol my dad my dad took my camaro one day to work because his car battery was dead (and my car stays in one of his garages) he couldnt even open the doors and had to climb thru the window all day.

IMO the 8 'feels' light on its feet (rx8 is lighter than our car too) when compared stock vs. stock. But the tq in the Z makes up for the extra weight.

you would think thats what happened with my brother, but if you saw where it happened, thats not the case. and whatever I get, nobody is driving it.

I had a similar story. I use to own a 2007 white Z. My cousin was throwing a party at his house to celebrate his 21st. After the party had died down and pretty much everyone was intoxicated, I decided to get some rest. While I was sleeping, my cousin supposedly wanted to go "re-park" my car. He drives two blocks over and hits a parked truck and causes property damage to three different houses. Complete left side was wrecked.

my grandmother borrowed my z yesterday and my mother was following her to visit a sick family member. my mom told me she was doing well over 90mph on the way up there and back. my grandmother of all people was doing 90 something mph!!! wtf! lol
