Suede Seat Upgrades
Has anyone ever upgraded to suede seats such as those offered by Recaro? Apparently, suede solves the problem of sliding all around in the seats when turning hard yet you still get to have leather in your car. However, my gut feeling is that such a porous material would readily absorb stains and be hard to clean.
Anyone have experience with suede seats?
Thanks,
Jeff

I would recommend you look into Alcantara as an alternitive to suede. It's cheaper, feels the same, and much more resistant to stains and all that.
Go to a local audi dealer and check out an S4 with two-tone seats, the center's of the seats are Alcantara.
(note: I might be spelling it wrong)

Apexi-
Lexus uses Escaine, which is similar to Alcantara.
Does someone like Classic Soft Trim offer seat covers that use leather/suede(or Escaine/Alcantara) combos?
The Sparco Milano looks like it is available in a Leather/Alcantara option.
As LowFuel said, the suede alternatives are generally better suited for the conditions in a car, and feel very similar to real suede.

Those that follow ZCAR might have noticed a post that said that Classic Soft Trim now has a seat pattern for the 350Z. Unfortunately no pics. You can go to http://www.classicsofttrim.com/ and do the vehicle selector and see that it is a supported vehicle. I can't find a list of materials they use though.
What might be cool is to replace the middle piece of leather on the seat with either suede/Alcantara or cloth.
