Should I buy this?
My local dealer has a Brand New (never used, has just sat on the lot) 2003 Black Performance, and he's willing to drop 3k off the price if I buy. So its 31k normal, but 28k before TTL. What you guys think, I was holding out to buy a Enthu Auto because of the wife, but I don't know. It would almost be worth it to teach the wife to drive stick to get it.
Tell me what you guys think.

I guess it depends on how willing your wife is to learn to drive a stick. I would by it, but then again I am not married and don't have to answer to anyone. Will this be the only car that you and your wife own?

in the spirit of things, my I found a black touring, 6 speed, with 14.k at my local dealer, the dealer is giving me 29.5k for the car plus 4k for my old *** '98 Ford Taurus... Any feedback? I keep looking around and cant decide whether I am being taken for a ride or not.

Juanza,
Just get a new car with newer transmission. ANd since u r in lovely Miami, i really dont think u need a Touring. No need for heated seats in 90 degrees and the Bose sucks neways. Leather u can add on later. BUt thats just my thought..Get a enthusiast.performance.

KBomb,
I see what you are saying, and I agree. I am still undecided and researching more. According to your experience how much difference should there be between a touring and an enthusiast? and How much do you think this car, the black touring mentioned above, is truly worth?

Reb 1281,
I agree 100%. This is why i want to make sure that is an absolute great deal, I dont mind the heat if I can get some savings out of it... plus it does look good

Black is a beautiful color, but make sure you keep it zaino'd to protect it from scratches and the terrible Ultraviolet damage. Florida is a perfect place for my(soon to be owned) CS Track Z, and can't wait for the day that I leave this cold, dark, and depressing place called New York. I'm from southern portugal, and I belong in the sun.

Juanza,
I would try kelly blue book. I dunno the website but I think the Z is in there or atleast 2003z which I think this car u are looking at is. You are getting a good trade-in for ur old car but I dunno...I prefer a new car instead of a used car for that high a price ya know..plus all those problems you hear about on the 2003s really should considered: transmission, window streak, paint chips, etc...
Try Carmax to see what ur Taurus is really worth and maybe look for a used Z there. THey say they go by blue book. Plus the have a new Z dealership and you can use their no haggle prices to haggle with them dealers...
the feathering of the tires seems to be a package with the z tho..=P
ps--I really wish i live in Miami...I rather have rain and hot/tan women than snow and pale women..

ok,
My current car, according to Carmax is worth 2800... Blue book for the trade in on the touring Z is 28100... retail being 30100, so Im getting the "in between" price right now. In addition, Carmax had a silver enthusiast for 28k, this one had 16k miles on it... So in comparison the deal I am getting now is better, but of course, that doesnt mean that either of them are the real deal
BTW, some places say that the six speed manual trans adds to the cost, others say it subtracts. Whats the deal here?
