Seattle_350z) glad you found it but i think there are cheaper sites...i got mine for 96 after shipping....really sorry i don't remember the site, it just totally left my mine are i bought the thing...
You might wanna put just a little bit of loctite on those screws. That will keep them from working lose under all the vibration,
but don't go crazy with it.

Default what about manual?

I can't put on my momo (say my mechanic) cuz nissan glues their parts together instead of bolting them. What can I do?

I just put that MOMO shifter in my Eclipse this week-I figured that if I ended up getting the Z next year it would match that too. Very easy to put on.

I just got the black one from MOMO and installed today, heres a pic for those interested in what it looks like.

Excellent match to the steering wheel with the chrome top that goes with the chrome z on the horn/airbag.

That looks good, if I get a AT Z, that'll be top of my list of mods. How easy is it to return to stock though? The bit about the glue sounds pretty irreversible.

I have NO clue what they are talking about with the glue thing. The stock **** is held in place with a (collar pin)? Not even any screws holding the stock one in place. Just take the collar thing off and twist the **** a bit to get it to lift up off teh shaft. Hardest part was dealin with the little bit of grease on that wihte plunger you have to remove to use the momo ****. I used my fingers and couldnt get that grease off for a few hours. The momo **** is absolutely stunning in person. A little bit of leather conditioner on it (it comes "dry" in the box, so i used some of my leather protector on it to gloss it up a bit). The only thing MOMO failed to do is provide the correct bushings. They gave us ones for manual *****, so you have to cut the end off the one that fits our shifter (i believe its the middle one of the 5 provided. 2 are too thick, two are too thin). I have had it on for 2 weeks now and it is still holding very tight and not budging at all. Its just held on with 3 small set screws. I jsut made sure they were all torqued down fairly tight, but not to the point there was no play left when i tightened them.

Its hard to tell from the pictures just how much more ergonomic/smaller/shorter/ this **** really is compared to stock. But since its round in shape it just fits the hand much better. The only other thing i could recommend that this shifter to better fit this car would be to get a brushed aluminum gateguard to match the interior and make the **** not quite so flashy.

Oh yea, and my next project after i get some more bills paid off will be the matching e-brake and boot. The aluminum pit-stop brake and matching boot cover is a perfect match to the automatic black leather shifter.

Got your PM....Looks sweet. Thanks for the info. I am highly considering it now.

Are you going to do the MOMO e-brake as well? That looks really good. I wonder how hard the e-brake one is to install.

Default mo mo

I've just installed the Momo aluminum shifter... it's very flashy, and i like it!!!

Now, If i can just get the key out of the ignition... i would be very happy!!!

Has anyone ran into this problem? the car does not feel like it's in Park!

I did not use the white plastic plunger thang... should that part stay in it????

thanks for any info!

Default Momo installation caution

DO NOT push the shifter ALL the way down to make it short as possible. Leave some room so the push rod inside will release all the way.... otherwise.... you won't get your key out... [COLOR=crimson]
