Are you trying to tell me some people who drive BMWs are snobs and think they're better than others? I don't believe it! Nest, you'll be telling us there are some rude French people out there!
But, seriously, can you believe these Dodge Caravan guys ? They actually think their Dodge Caravans are better than our Nissan Quest.
Ha, well, I posted and gave them a piece of my mind! Ha!

Anyone who has ever gone out and actually driven their car at an event (AutoX, Trackday, etc) knows that only nerdy dorks sit on car forums and belittle other cars.
At an event you see that everyone is an enthusiast no matter what you drive. Even people out tracking their Altima's get respect.
I had a great time with several M3 drivers yesterday at Thunderhill, as well as some S2000 guys, some WRX's, etc.
Don't worry about the fools who just sit and talk about their car but never actually find out what it can really do. They are just trying to make themselves feel more secure.

I know a handful of folks who own/ mod/ track/ and race cars from across the automotive spectrum. Judging from them I come to the conclusion that any TRUE car enthusiast is going to respect another car for what it is.
I know guys in these so called "elitist" european cars who have an alter-ego that wouldn't mind owning a 350.
Even check out the end of that BMW thread how some M3 owners admire the Z. It's a common thing. I'm sure theres alot of guys on this board that like to debate about s2000's but wouldn't mind owning one.
The only people that sit around blindly bashing on other cars are the ones with little self-esteem. They feel as if they have to defend something material because that's the only thing they have to fuel their ego.
So sad...

My main point when it comes down to this thread is a number. 15,000. This is approximately the amount of money that you'd need to trade in a new Z for a new M3.
They talk and talk about how the m3 is a better car, which is true when it comes to stock cars, but if you take $15,000 and drop it into mods for the Z, I'm sure the M3 drivers would be left in the dust.
With $15,000, I could take a new M3, and trade it in for something even better... like say a Dodge Viper. Would anyone argue that a BMW M3 can hold a candle to a Dodge Viper? Gimme a f***ing break.
The e46 M3 is very nice, but for 15,000 dollars less the Z is also a damn nice car. I think most of those M3 posters are morons.

Second...a stock Z will be eaten alive on the track by a stock M3. I'll post some track results for you if you like, but it's not even close. The closest I saw was the Z being behind about 5 seconds on the track. I know we all own a Z, but let's not go crazy in admiting defeat. Have you ever driven an M3? It's an amazing ride. It's fast from bottom end to top end...a trully unbelievable ride. But for me it was a money factor, options I get, and worth it for me to get a Z at this time and make it faster myself by dumping in 5-10k more.
Third, I posted a longer post (scroll down under the pictures and look for my handle) on the M3 board about both cars.
