Default Should I keep my Z or Trade for A Newer Z?

Didnt really know where to put this but i wanted to get some opinions to help me figure out what to do with my z. I have an 03 track model with 105,xxx miles on it, clean title. I wanted to supercharge it but im skeptical as to how long it would last so im thinking about parting ways with it and getting into an 06-07 with less miles and some of the flaws worked out that the first year has. My car needs a clutch/flywheel, brakes/rotors, and the axles are clicking and somebody keyd the passenger door deep and the cheepest i could find to repaint and blend the door is a grand. Overall its pretty clean few dings, interior is pretty clean as well. So i was thinking of parting with the brembos and wheels and selling it. Selling for what i can get for it as is witch doesnt seem like alot. Or fixing everything then trying to sell it. kbb says in good condition it is worth 11.9k and fair 10.4k and i think it would fit into fair but i keep getting low balled on craigslist and it seems in this economy knowone wants to pay what cars are worth. So if anyone could give me some input on what to do given my situation it would be greatly appreciated. Or if there is a better spot for this thread feel free to let me know

First,I sure would'nt put the $$$ in the car to supercharge it...With all your other potential expenses to bring your Z back to where it should be,I'd be inclined to sell it and start over.Perhaps you can find a Z-06/07 " with all the flaws worked out" plus that
supercharger!
It seems that you have a vision of what you want in a Z.Your current car is not it.

Prob should have posted this in the "General : 2003-2009 350Z" section, but dont go and make another thread, m0ds will prob move this one for you over there.

I would just sell it. Just be patient and hold out until you get a good offer. It will come. Im in the process of thinking about de-modding my 05' back to stock, selling, buying a low miles HR, and putting all the mods from my DE on that i can, sell the rest, and keep modding.

Food for thought.

Swap someone for their non-Brembos plus cash; swap someone else for your track wheels plus 17" stockers (or sell your track wheels and buy cheap stockers). Then feel better about taking ~$9k for it after having pocketed ~$1500 from those swaps. There's your $10.5k. Craigslist sucks, I assume and hope you have it listed in your regional subforum on this site. ? . ?

Oh, and do not use KBB - that's geared for dealers. Use Edmunds TMV: www.edmunds.com

If its paid for, just buy a cheap DD and do what ever you want to the Z. Milage is nothing, especially if you go FI, you will end up rebuilding the motor anyhow.

The car was for sale 5 months ago: https://my350z.com/forum/cars-for-sa...50z-track.html. Why has it not sold?

Took me like 15 months to sell the wife's first ZR. I wasn't in a rush, the market wasn't great, and I declined low *****. I assume he is in a similar position from his post.

Ive been tryin for awhile but wasnt all that motivated but now I am and theres really no point to try and sell now because that whole time i really didnt get one decent offer and i dont see it getting any better, everyone wants somthing for nothing. Im probably going to post somthing in the marketplace soon so if anyone is interested in brembos or track wheels keep a lookout in the marketplace for my post.

Thread moved and appropriately titled.

I would keep your current Z, 105K miles is nothing for a VQ.

Also, here are some references for your FI question:

I just feel like to get it to where i want it would be to much money. Im kinda picky when it comes to body/paint and i also hate passing other silver z's so much so id like a different color. I honesly would take another 03/04/05 if it was clean enough and well taken care of. Thank you for those links though that is good to know.

I certainly wouldn't FI a 100,xxx+ motor... so unless you are prepared to drop $15k+ in a build I wouldn't even think about it.

Code:
if ($holycrap == millionaire) {
  $track350z = builtMotor + FI + rebuiltDrivetrain + paintJob;
} else {
  if ($holycrap <> millionaire) && ($holycrap == lovesHisZ) {
    $track350z = newClutchFlywheel + fixPaint + fixDings;
  } elseif ($holycrap <> millionaire) && ($holycrap == whateverZ) {
    $track350z = tradeIn;
}

Definitely stick with the Z you have, Its will cost you more money in the long run to try and sell/trade what you got than it will to maintain the one you have PLUS DE parts are way cheaper than HR/ rev up parts. Not worth the extra 20 hp imo. besides a small shot of fi will cure that right up, Boost your car on low psi before you waste money on something newer. besides, DE parts are everywhere and crazy cheap.

Hope I helped.
