Smile No Problems - Other Than the Sucky Bose System!!!

I would like to report I have not experienced any of the previously reported problems other than that the Bose system sucks big-time! Now if Naim Audio only made car audio.

On a different note, I did get a "Serice Engine Soon" light due to NOT properly tightening the gas cap. If you do not hear at least 3 click when tightening your gas cap you may find yourself with this light on. Also when thew gas pump stops, DO NOT try and top-off the tank. This is a known issue with Nissan. When the pump stops than your tank IS FULL.

Does the service light go away on its own when you tighten the cap, or is it service call?

Also, what happens if you DO try to top off the tank?

Thanks,
Todd

Default Service Call

I had to bring it in. Very fast! Quick diagnostic. But be warned the techs have very little experience with the Z.

I guess this is very common with current Nissans.

In most cars today, a loose gas cap will trigger the check engine light. In most cars, this light will go off after tightening the cap and after about 1 tank of gas. If you disconnect the battery, the light should also reset, but I don't recommend this.
