Where's The Back Seat Dude ?

 

Only question someone has asked me about my 350Z was "where is the back seat?"

My dad and brothers, however, like to keep sarcastically asking me "where are your leather seats?/heated seats?/cruise control?) They all have those features while my Base 350 doesn't. lol

My brother has a G35 with a few minor exterior tweaks and he's got some of the same questions you guys get.

1. Is that a Porsche? What year?
2. Is that a Ferrari? (Have no idea how they got Ferrari from a G35, plus this was at a gas station)
3. How much HP?/How much did it cost?/Are you trying to overcompensate? (Last one comes from haters in grad school. We're not short either so only logical reason they would ask is because they're hatin')

 

Today at gas station:

Civic si driver pointing at my car, talking to his fellow honda (accord coupe I think?) friend: Yeah man! That car has 350hp!

Friend: Does it have V-Tec like yours?

........................................................... *smh*

No dumb question yet, just curious folks from time-to-time. Mostly the basic "what is that?" and "how fast is it?" kind of questions. I usually tell them it's kind of fast, but it really depends on what you're comparing it too. No mods, completely stock.

People in my age range.......the forty something crowd. My buddy (48) at work asked me about the ground effects on my G. I did tell him I hadn't heard the aero package called that in years.

I was standing by the back of my car yesterday and a guy came up and asked me "is that a 370Z?" It only said it right off to my side.............I pointed, laughed and went back to my cleaning.

 

I've gotten quite a few of these listed. Like the obvious questions (2 seat, etc.) I never took it as them being retarded though, if anything I felt it was more for conversation rather. I have no reason to try to act cooler than that guy, I'd rather talk about it then be a dick to the guy, cause I mean let's be honest, I love talking about my car to people =P
