When are your going turbo, i just get that way to often. Especially when they find out i race the car.

mom asked me where i was going to put my son, which i replied "ummmmm probably in britt's(my wife) focus, seems like a pretty good spot to me"

dad asked me when i was going to get it out of his garage in ohio, ive spent the past year in afghanistan

told my uncle about the turbo ive got(granted siting in a closet till i get back) and mention i should be able to hit 700 hp at the rear wheels pretty easy(i come from a family of hard core drag racers). which he replied it was impossible for a 3.5L to make 700 at the engine let alone the wheels. guess he has never heard of the 1500 hp 2.0L drag ecotecs.


oh yah i had one person argue with me that the 350z only came with 4 doors and only came as a roadster even after i showed him a pic of mine, which is a coupe.

 

since you race car so often adding a turbo would be the WORST idea possible. ****ing newbs.

 

after every pass i make someone asks. what size turbo? how much boost? what turbo kit you got? wheres the turbo?
my reply its stock with bolt ons and 100 shot.....

 

the dumbest questions i get with my Z, is when people get in my car and say is it Standard!! LMAO Are you serious?!

Why is that dumb? Standard, Manual, Stick, they all mean the same thing to just about anyone.

 

Not really a question, but the dumbest thing I was told, after telling a friend I paid 11k for it (04.5 6sp touring, 74k miles, immaculate condition), he said "you got ripped off, these things go for 8k all day with less miles". Asked him to show me where he saw that, he said he'd send me a link.... never got one.

 

Someone told me 'you should've gotten the stock turbo version'

 

I had a coworker ask me " how much does that run for?" I looked at him like Ehhh he replies " probably more than I can afford"

When I got mine new in 2003, I had several friends & family assume it cost in the $60K - $75K range. Had lots of folk asking how I could afford it.

They were shocked when I informed them only cost me $27,500.

 

a lot of people think these cars still go for above 30k. its kinda funny.
