The dumbest question you've been asked about your car?
Well guys here is my story from last night. Got pulled over for going 10mhp over the speed limit. Cop asked the routine questions license & registration, goes back to his car checks everything and comes back and hand me over my license & registration, now is when it gets interesting.
Cop: Why your Z only has two seats?
Me: Is supposed to have two seats only.
Cop: My 19 year old son told me his come with 3.
Me:I dont think your son knows what he is talking about.
Cop: you sure? he also says this car comes with an inline 6 RB26 twin turbo.
Me: At that point i knew he had not seeing his son car at all. I just decided to go with the flow and told him, yes it does. I didnt want to be rude to a police officer.
Cop: Well im giving you a break this time dont let it happen again.
Me: Thank you.
I really dont know if he was being serious or just talking sh$t.

Probably mistook it for a gtr, from some angles in the front it looks a little like it...... From distance.
^ how high does one need to be to confuse a curve 350z to a boxy r32-34??
Specially since the cop knew it came with an rb Lolll. I wouldn't call it arguing, more like educating the cop

Meant the r35 body lol but yeah your right if he said rb26 than obviously was referring to r32-34 which even a 10 year old would probably know.what one would look like

Reading through this thread I’m struck by the premise that maybe there are no dumb questions, just people who attract them! Of course I ‘kid’ the Z owners.
In several of his books Carl Sagan has pointed out: “There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.”
