how much does 350z's gas tank takes?
i have a 04 ZR
and i can only fill 12 the max...when the light is on...
any body else got the same?
because i read that it suppose be something like 18-20 gallon..

 

Off topic is the wrong place. But I think it's only like 5 gallons. How are you able to put 12 in it? Someone must have put an aftermarket fuel tank in there

 

20 gallon, my light goes on early too, i usually drive it for another 100 miles past DTE 0 then fill up 17 to 18 gallons. The gas gauge is useless, i just go off the MPG i'm getting to fill the car up.

Bottem line, you only putting 12 gallons in it because it still has 8 gallons left in it.

The floater or whatever that thing is in your tank is probably defective, assuming you aren't just being retarded and not filling it up all the way (never know on the internet).

OT - our Juke tanks are ridiculously small and the light comes on with like 1/4 of the tank left.

 

Yup DTE or whatever they call it now on the Juke is at 0 and it fill 10.5 gallons. It has a 12.5 or 13.5 gallon tank. My R32 GTS-T was also just as bad, i think its a Nissan thing.

 

I'd gladly trade the rear hidden storage area for an additional 10 gallon capacity. It's really my only gripe with the car, having to fill up every week just because the tank is so small... because its not like it gets terrible mileage at all (we avg around 26-27, 95% city). What is that area for anyways Nissan? The drugrunner special?

If it's an 04.5 it comes with a racing fuel cell. That's why there is so little room in the trunk. When the light comes on, you've still got a good 10 gallons.

 

My light comes on when I have 5-6 gallons left. I usually run the car until its' got about 2 gallons left before filling up. Like many have already said, don't trust the DTE. Do your own calculations. I have however found my mpg calculator to be correct.

Why not read the Owners Manual and find out exactly how many gallons your Z holds?

 

My light comes on after I consume about 12 gallons. I usually drive 100+ on the light and fill up at 15-16 gallons. The most i've gone was about 18 gallons. Anyone make it to 19.9?

 

one time i pumped 21 gallons lol i think the gas station was fukd up, but i have gotten up to 19.xxx occasionally
