Has this ever happen to you??

Whenever I close the back hatch on my Z, there's always a thump sound just before the hatch lock connects. It's like something is hitting the body just before closing.

 

I bet what it is is one of your spring latches broke. There are 2 black springs that pop up the hatch, one of mine broke and would click or thump everytime I shut my hatch... check em out. Nissan will fix it free and it only takes about 3 seconds, they seriously just pop right off.

 

mine does it off and on too, unfortunately, it wouldn't do it
at the dealer. How do I test these units?
