Default Wow 29.3 mpg

I just resetted the mpg meter and got 29.3 mpg on a 35-mile trip.
Although a significant portion of the trip was downhill I'm still amazed by the fact that this is at all possible w/ this car.

I get between 23 and 25.

Fill up @ 400 miles, and takes between 16-17 gallons.

About 40% mountain hwy and 50% freeway and 10% city

[I drive my Z 16 miles stop and go and about 10 miles on the interstate to work and back. I have been getting 23 to 24 miles to the gallon. That is not by the computer, but by the mileage divided by the number of gallons at fill up. My computed MPG(Z's computer) is about 1 MPG off (more) from the actual MPG.]Originally posted by 350zWhite04
i was just curious about avg miles/gallon meter on other peoples Z's.

Mine says 13.8km/l for the last 2 tanks...
so 13.8km/l * 3.785l/g * 0.621m/km = 32.4 mpg?? I'm amazed...
My car's at 7200km and fed with 94 Cheveron since I got it, is my calculation wrong? cause most people are getting 20~25, and I have 25%highway, and 75% city....

I use to be getting 20.9+ but since old man winter rolled in i've been getting 18.# - 19.#. Last I checked I didn't grow anymore lead in my foot. lol

I'd also like to state that New England weather is VERY Anti-Z. Down with New England! Maybe the Pathers can win one for the Z and my MPG.

13mpg, all city driving, I only live 2.5 miles from my work. Before I used to get low 20's but that was when I worked farther (highway driving).

Default MPG

I run about 28, but most of my driving is highway, I commute from Orange County to north San Diego and that is about 120 miles of highway per day. I go into the office about 3-4 days a week, and the other days it sitting at the airport.

I get about 21 1/2 mpg. in a mixture of city and freeway. The car goes about 360 miles before the dte starts flashing. Then it takes about 16.5 gallons to fill it up.

I haven't reset mine in over 10,000 miles and it's been at exactly 23.1 for a long time now. It's mostly highway miles (commuting 40 miles to work). I drive with a heavy right foot, too! (Floor it and redline it every chance I get)
