Hey I just got back from a turn around trip to vegas for a buddy's bachelor party, thought I would share some data.

A few things to point out before people make comments.
1) currently unemployed and can't afford speeding ticket/impounding.
2) ton of construction on the 15 (the main road to vegas)
3) there is always traffic in SoCal.

Now for the data.
Going

Avg mph 58, Avg mpg 28.0
Top speed hit 95 mph

Returning
274 miles door2door MGM Grand-Long Beach
Time 3hr 45 min
Avg mph 73, Avg mpg 24.3 (severe head wind, about 15-20 mph)
Top speed 110 mph

Just thought I would share. This data was captured using the trip computer. Avg mph & mpg was reset before ride started each time.

That'a a great trip. I did it from LAX once on a Sunday afternoon. I was lucky because it was bumper to bumper coming back into Cali. Then I headed North through Tonapah and left over to Yosemite. Then on to San Fran for my flight home. It wasn't a Z, but it was a cool trip.

You should go back and stay a little longer!
