Default what is better

Sorry I am new here and I am sorry for the noob questions that will be asked.
But if I am getting a 350z soon and have a lot of money for parts, would it be better to get them all first then take it to a shop, or take it to the shop every time i get a part in?
Thanks,

It depends on exactly which parts you are getting put on and what the shop is willing to work with you on it.

If installing part "A" requires the removal of part "B" and you plan on replacing part "B" later, it's better to do it at the same time since they will already be removing anyway "B", right?

Or be a man and install them yourself, then have a shop tune it.

Those two words said it all.

Nice intro. I'm anxiously awaiting your "wrecked my z on thanksgiving thread".

yeah.. about all that..

you already knew what would happen..

and 10/1 you will ask questions for expert advice later on to all the ppl who chimed in on this thread.. as most are VETS... so your first mod should be to grow some thicker skin my man.

Do that ...and you will be fine w your car, your thread, and life in general.
I wouldnt be so quick to call it ppl being jerks..

what bmccann said. But in OP's defense. This forum is crawling with jerks. Were the new honda civic forum.

Doing the work yourself is always good. Not in the sense that it makes you a man (ignorant comment ) but because youll be able to learn about the car and get a greater understanding of how it works as a whole. It also gives you a greater sense of accomplishment when your done.

However there will be things that just simply cannot be done at home without investing quite a bit of money into things other than parts for the car.

In regards to the original question, listen to dave#3.

Also, id do some research on the headers. For the amount of money and time you'll spend putting them in yourself, it may not be worth it. Just look into it.

serious answer:
buy them as you can. Don't bother taking it somewhere for these mods, there is a lot of value in learning about the car and completing the job yourself. you can do it yourself if you have the tools and a little patience. a friend will help on some of these too. ditch the headers idea unless you are really set on having them. Plenty of threads explaining their pointless-ness / cost ratio. Since you already dropped the money on the membership take the advice and grow thick skin.

I upgraded to a premium account this year and changed my username. I am at the least a very experienced troll.

Lemme see if I understand...you have not yet found/bought a Z.It appears, its gonna be black/black.Talk about the cart before the horse...
Anyway, you are a lucky guy if your dad is buying you a Z.I'd get a plan together.Write it down. You have(dad)has limitless funds?Dave brought up a good point. Some mods involve
taking one thing off/doing something first etc.Write down the parts sources and prices.
Check this forum for feedback on the good stuff &the crap.
Bottom line--when you DO ACTUALLY get a Z.check back with us.

you just joined, and you bought premium membership? and you don't have a Z yet but based your user name off your future Z color?
