Default What type of racing interests you?

Just got to thinking. Seeing the site it seems drag interests people the most.
Looking at sites like youtube, it seems like street racing and racing from a roll as well as drift interests people a lot.

So what would you be most likely to be interested in, or participate in, and why?

Autocross was fun, but it chewed through my tires lol. Didn't see that coming as a beginning participant. Road courses are my favorite since it opens the car up and I can really enjoy the higher speeds without recourse.

Not saying it's right. Just wondering what really interests people on an anonymous level.

1) There isn't a poll.
2) That list in not comprehensive enough to satisfy my curiosities.
3) Why waste your time in this thread posting more sarcastic responses when there is so much muslim **** on the net to be surfing?
4) I'm adding you to my block list.

Love me some drag and road course. IMO, you can take road course experience and apply it to normal, everyday driving... leading you to be a somewhat more responsive/observant driver. Drag is just fun.

I just can't get into drifting. The excitement peaks quickly, fades just as fast, and remains boring.

Love rally, just don't want to participate and spend money on lots of broken parts.

Only racing that matter's is road racing ALMS!

I really really do like the Japanese touge (Gunsai Touge) style runs! That's real driving control.

Haha its always entertaining when someone tries to go up against Davidv

As far as the OP's question. Drifting, then rally and autocross.

Do you have one of those $300 video game steering wheel setups too to make it more realistic?

Street racing isn't racing anymore than street fighting is MMA.

It's just douchebaggery for people who are too poor/useless to track their car.

I use to love drag racing a lot (I still respect it), especially import drag racing in the 90's.

Right now Road course and rally is what I am into. The most helpful/friendliest/intelligent people I have talked to have been at road course events. To include ALMS, Speed Touring, Redline Time attack, Rolex etc...

ALMS
Grand Am
WRC
F1
SCCA World Challenge

You name it! So long as not an oval or a straight line, all the rest is fine and dandy. I probably enjoy watching WRC the most, with ALMS/Grand Am right after and then F1. But even then, depending on mood, that order may change.

In terms of with the Z, nothing beats a road course. Or (on occasion) a sneaky self-indulgent highway pull.

No drag racing for me. First gear hates me and I hate it in return.
