Default Knee Pads Available?

Anybody know if the knee pads are available for 2003 models as an aftermarket add-on? I've searched through the threads and it appears nobody's purchased them yet. My holiday travels have led me to believe that the knee pads might provide some comfort.
Thanks!

I have the kneepads on my 2004 Enthusiast and my knees can't reach them.

I dunno, maybe I have short legs, but in order for my knees to contact the pads I have to sit in a awkward position

My right knee hits the center console exactly where the knee pad would be if my 04 Touring had one. I've contacted my dealership and they don't know of the part number for this critter yet.

I contacted Nissan (via their website) and asked for the part number and after two round trips of email here is what they said:

"According to our product specialists, you can get the kneepads as an over-the-counter service part once they are in the parts system at the dealerships for 2004. Check back with your dealership in a couple weeks and they may be available."

Sounds good! So they will be available as an over the counter purchase...good stuff! I was thinking that maybe there was a cut-out on 2004's console. Glad there isn't. I'm 6' 1" and my leg rubs up against that console on long trips.

Test them out before ordering. I thought I'd want them until I sat in an 04 - my knees are no where near the console. The only thing I wish my 03 has is the deeper pocket to hold sunglasses.

A true gentleman should always keep a pair of knee pads in his car for his lady friends.

I've been checking in with Courtesyparts.com and just rec'd an email that even as of today, they have no information on their availability as an over-the-counter purchase. I've made several road trips, as well, and I'm certain I would benefit IF they are placed appropriately. Guess I need to check out some new Z's and make sure since it sounds as though they are actually now in production.

Right from the get-go release of the 2003, there have been knee pads available -- in the Japanese Domestic Market, unfortunately, and good only to pad the right hand seat/footwell area in 350Zs. If you wanted them, they were available for order over the internet from Japan. The JDM pads were/are considerably bigger than the 2004 US pads, and also included in the set, a pad to go onto the armrest on the door for your right knee to bang up against.

The center console for the frost interior is still black. The rest of the dash is the frost color.

I find it better if she just kneels on the seat, and I stand on the edge of the door frame, just be sure to have the alumnium kick plates. Works out great.
