Default Really selling their Z?

Has anyone really sold their deposit, place on line or their car if they got it, or is all this hype about $2000 to $8000 over MRSP just bull... I've watched a few eBay auctions and the high bidder is always someone with 0 or negative feedback.

Just wondering.

FYI: nissandriven.com has a post about trying to sell your deposit.

I tried twice on ebay! No luck!

All the bidders were just flakes!

Did anyone have any success, I'm curious too!

I think I would sell mine for a 5K profit. I would just order another and wait, use the 5K for some home improvement. Would not even consider it for $1,000.00 or under.

Considering how many people have signed up for these cars for months in advance, people will be willing to pay over MSRP to have one now. Not only have they been sold on eBay, but there are private sellers out there selling them as well. A wholesaler here in Atlanta has sold 2 of them for $10,000 profits.
More customers means more up front and repeat business. More business with customers who want cars when they roll off the trucks equals lots of dough for the dealers. For each vehicle that they sell off the truck, they pocket the dealer holdback, which is probably around 5% of the vehicle value. Short term profits will take a small hit, but the long term benefits would (I would think), more than compensate.

Not only that, dealers used fake names to get pre-orders and are now selling them for over msrp. I know, I've called several....*****

I wouldn't necessarily say that's true. I don't think NNA has any knowledge of the price on the contract...
