After a lot of thought and research, I'm leaning towards the Datsun Z's. I realize that these aren't the best for someone looking for a car that will last; however, I'm finding a great deal of these cars under 4000 that are not only running but in relatively good shape. Yes, a Civic would be the smart choice; however, if I find the right deal, I don't think I'll be able to resist the draw of having a classic like the 240Z or the 280ZX as my first car.
