...any word if its a hard top like the Lexus SC430 or is it a normal soft black top like the S2000? i want Hard top like the SC.
If Nissan is listening.....IMO it should be priced around the S2000 which is $32,840. and definetly less than a Track cause they will most likely be Touring level with the Luxo stuff and leather (can i get red leather in a red Z please) And please DO NOT, i repeat do not make them all Automatic like the Lexus. 6MT please.
0-60mph under 6 seconds and ill be in heaven.
Nissan give me what i want please.

Welcome to earth.
The convertible will be at or above the price of a track. I remember reading somewhere that the convertible will START at 35k and likely hit 40k.
Please return to your planet of origin, why on earth would you think a convertible would not represent a large price differential, its a bit harder to make than a solid roof

I have been hoping for a retractable hardtop, but if you look at the area where it would need to fold into, the rear support cross-bar is right in the way. That makes me sadly skeptical that they can pull off a hardtop.
I've had my share of ragtop problems. I think that like many other ragtops (which I won't mention so as not to p--- off their owners on this forum), the lines of the beautiful design would be butchered by the awkward lines of the ragtop. In the down position it would look very nice. But in spite of it being warm enough to go topless here in FL most of the time, it also rains just about every day. So the top has to look good up too.
It's too late to beg Nissan for anything, because the design was put to bed a long time ago if the production schedule we are hearing is true. But it's not too late to can BOSE as the audio supplier. Can you imagine how the BOSE would act up with the top down? I just took a 400 mile trip and that thing sounds worse and worse and worse, the more I have to listen to it.
Okay, I'm starting to get on a rant that is off-topic for this thread. I apologize. (But the BOSE does really suck. That sufwoofer is sub-par.)
