my girlfriends jeep grand Cherokee was parked when a lady trying to park next to her hit the corner of the rear bumper, she then proceeded to keep pulling forward ripping off the entire rear bumper until she was straight in her spot. never once did she put the car in reverse to try and park with out hitting my girls car. she comes inside to announce that she just hit her car and states "i dont know what you want to do about this but im meeting people for lunch and i dont have time to deal with this."
my face after hearing that trash come out of her mouth.

some people just suck

Years ago, I watched a girl do that before. I was in a parking deck, a level below but i could still see, some girl slowly pulls into a spot, cuts it too late and starts going underneith a high truck. She makes contact under the truck and stops. She then proceeds to go further in and starts to lift the truck off the ground. Now panicing, she puts it in reverse and starts to pull the truck with her out of the spot.

Rather than jumping out of the car and stopping her, i was so amazed by the spectacle in front of me, i sat there in a daze. At this point i was already late for class, so I just bounced since a security guard showed up.

just take the air out of one of his/her tires next time you see his/her vehicle.

So it IS a coworker right? Try reporting complaint to HR? They may be able to help you.

Wait so you filed this thru YOUR insurance and didnt go thru his?

If that is the way you handled it....WHY?

I see women banging car doors all the time in lots, 99% of the time they dont even inspect the other car for damage they move along.

i drove a mercedes to night school one night, and came back after class, and this dudes mazda speed was parked in front of me and it was literally touching the mercedes.. i waited til he came out and confronted him. he backed up a little and there was no dents or scratches but he wiped off my bumper and apologized. confronting someone really takes some of the frustration out.

That's pretty ridiculous...

I'd try and handle it in a civil manner to try and avoid any complications of course. I'm sure you'd rather just do something back but I don't think that's the best route to take.

I would let it go if the coworker apologizes and there is no damage. I'd file a claim on his insurance if there was.

Lesson learned, don't pull all the way into a
a parking space.Always give 2-3 ft in front.
Also, the Z is a short car.Leave the rear of the car
visible to oncoming cars looking for a parking space.
Some joker in a hurry may "see" a open space
and run into the back of your car.
You are experiencing "new car owner paranoia".
We all have suffered this malady. When you get a new ride,
you will note EVERY speck, scratch even if the naked eye
cannot see it.Pretty soon, you will come to the reality that
if you drive your car,its gonna get some nicks.
I've been there bud.I'm still very careful where I park.
You cannot depend on others to be responsible!
this is very true!!

Yaaah, it was a dude. Work found him; but he got angry, said someone MUST have pulled in and hit his truck to make him push into me. .

errr, yeah wtf ever dude. . .
Then he threw his hands in the hair and walked off, tried calling him like 3 times, no avail. my insurance company tracked down his insurance and they started a claim. . His insurance is in awe over him just leaving it and not trying to talk to me about it. . .

Oh well, people r dumb. I make sure I park in spot one in row one now. . .with PLENTY of room to spare lol. My Chrysler 300 got keyed by some old hag in a Jaguar the first day I had it. . . Took it back to the dealership, told them I wouldn't sign the papers on it if they didn't repaint it

welllll/// i think you call police and file a report. wait for him to come out.

any scratch on a bumper is +$500 in damage (adequate in FL for a police report).

when you have an officer handy it's much easier to access the other driver's
insurance info.

not that i would know.

one of the campuses i go to always has a packed lot. i remember this one day when i was heading to class i signaled for a parking spot for a good 5 minutes. there was a another girl driver directly ahead of me as the car in the spot i wanted was pulling out.

i was like there's no way shed pull into my spot after KNOWING and SEEING that I'm signaling for it. well, she drove directly in. mind you i was attempting to make a left into the parking spot, so the other girl had the chance to drive in the spot as the other car that was pulling out blocked me.

needless to say, i was furious because by then i'd be late to class looking and waiting for another spot to open. i took my frustration out and keyed her driver side doors pretty well. looking back, it was not the right thing for me to do. it made me just as low as her.

but whatever. wont be doing that anymore.
