03 350z Probably Totaled :(
For sure... I didn't think Nissan could improve on the 350Z much. They did! I'm kind of glad my 350Z was totalled now. The reason I say that is because I drive my Z's into the ground and the 350Z and it would have taken be another 10 years before I knew what I was missing. Just jumping in one a taking a test ride is one thing. You won't notice much. It when you start driving it to the limits and compare it on roads that you have had your 350Z on. That will tell you a lot. It just sticks and tosses better.
The 370Z, as with every Z I owned before; each one is better than the last.
The motor, wheels, body, suspension .... everything just a little bit better and add up to a very impressive package.
Yeah of course I hated losing about $10K of depreciation because someone else hit me... But, then again; I'm still alive and have a new Z now that is even better than the last one I owned. Can hardly wait to see what the next generation of Z is like. 450Z ???? Who knows ????

Maybe I missed it reading the thread but why didn't the driver airbag deploy? It sucks about your loss because it doesn't really look all the bad. I guess it's what you can't see is what really add's up.
No drivers air bag, just passenger. From my experiences the only time you benefit from a situation like this is when you own the vehicle outright. When you have liens, its not even worth the hassle.
Same thing happened to me earlier this month in my '03. 8 AM, rush hour traffic, driver in front slammed the brakes and I got sandwiched. What I did was go pay to get the car out of the auction lot immediately and had it towed to the performance shop that does everything on my car - insurance reimbursed me for this too. I then had them look over everything and provide an estimate - around 13k in repairs.
The insurance agency didn't salvage the car due to the modifications I had done (built motor, Greddy twins, etc). The adjuster spoke to the owner of my performance shop and he explained how much $ had been invested in the car. The adjuster cut me a check for the repairs and didn't total it.
Should have put in a built motor and a twin turbo kit
